This is Gardiners 3rd grand final

St kilda fans would hope its a case of third time lucky for to date his 2 GF efforts have been woeful

Happy to defend his 2005 effort, should not have been out there, but I supported his inclusion given his previous ability to lift in big games.

Love to see him pick up a win as the he's hung in there (congrats to the Saints fot giving Gardy the air).

Jolly is quality. Looking forward to the effect of the ruckmen on the game.

Good luck Mick!!

Gardner vs Jolly is pretty well a Nil all draw I reckon. Where Gardy can maybe give Saints the edge is by going forward, I will be staggered if the day is dry if McEvoy does not play. His form lately has allowed Gardy to become so dangerous going forward.

Well Jolly would spend more time on ground b/c he can play as a marking forward

As can Gardiner. You may recall Round 14 last year.

A combination of wanting to get game time into McEvoy and Gardiner being nursed through the year means he's not on the ground as much.

I still think McEvoy will play and I think Gardiner will be sent forward for periods.

If I was coaching the saints I would get Gardiner to jump into Jolly's ribs at any opportunity and get him out of the game.

Big difference floating forward from ruck than to playing as a forward, could not be happier than seeing Gardiner playing forward. Will be some of the quickest rebounds out of defensive 50 for the year
