Carlisle also took a while because he wasnt worth pick 5 :)

we didnt want to give you what you thought he was worth ;) big difference. We overpaid for him because Dodoro was being classic Dodoro and overvaluing Ryder. He is and always was worth a first rounder. not a 1st and a 2nd. He also had the upper hand with being able to go to the grievance tribunal, therefore you guys should have been the ones who bended over, not us.

I disagree we got bent over slightly he was worth around pick 10 but accepted the deal when you eventually decided to throw in the 2nd pick.

Also saints wanted to get a carlise for a 2nd rounder which is way under value

with the suspension looming over his head and the grievance tribunal card, we should have got him at a discounted price because of the risk involved. Im sure Dodoro would have asked for a discounted price if you were the ones getting him

But you did get him for a discount

Question.

Did you read any direct quotes? Or the HUN reporters speaking shit?

Dude, it is Dodoro's tried and true method. He uses the media like no other. On the record and off the record.

Come draft/trade season every year, his antics make me laugh.

He is like the old dude in a country town who is the volunteer parking attendant at the big yearly shindig. Absolutely revelling in his time to shine.

He is like clockwork. I bet he was fuming when Melb went soft in the head and threw 25 at him early for Melksham;). No fun.

Dodo will always be Dodo. He revels in it. The whole industry knows what he's like. It is what it is.

You bag out Dodoro for making you pay more than you thought he was worth?

So he got the best deal for his club and did his job well? Who gives a **** if Port had to wait longer than they would have liked. Maybe also don't try that moral high ground when Port had already given Ryder a training program when he was still contracted with us. Essendon may have done a lot wrong, but when it comes to that trade, I think you are whinging for the wrong reasons.

Turn it up...Show me the posts where I troll...Some just can't handle the truth....big difference..

Pretty sure the dudes calling Dodorio the idiot are the trolls here, but I'd hate to spoil your story with facts ...
Trolling is turning a perfectly civil discussion between supporters into a pissing contest about which club has had the best and worst trade periods and best and worst drafts. Give it a rest.

Save that shit for the Bay because the trash talk doesn't belong in here.

Fair deal IMO. I could see it being a smoove transaction.
i know what you mean, but Dunn??? if they want Dunn and 27, then im dunn! (soz not soz) :D

afl website reporting that essendon will be going hard for lumumba in a straight swap
Hibberd for Lumumba?
one decent defender for one overrated defender with health issues?
sounds good :)

But 23 for Milkshakes was fair?
Just take the pick Dodoro and get on with it.

Salem straight swap for Hibberd calls are laughable.

Throw in Merrett and we'll have a think about it.:drunk:

Really?
Can't they do it mid season?

Thanks for the heads up you clever man.

Hysterical whinging?
Just disagreed with what's being reported.
And seeing as this is in reference to Hibberd and this thread is about Hibberd, this is where the discussions about him take place.
Now pull your head in

Being one, you should really know how to spell this mate.

Nothing personal lad, I feel for the underprivileged but they could spell.

You're kidding to suggest that clubs haven't flunked on trades before.
Lamumba we got because Clark wanted out so out of the clubs hands really, get what you can.
Dawes, bad call, tries hard but hasn't given much.
Pedo, been ok and cost us jack sh*t.

How'd Mark Williams go for pick 16?
How about Prismall? He going ok? I think the Cats only got Steve Motlop for that pick.

Plenty of these sorts of examples at every club so stop being a retread.

Fair enough.
So as I said, plenty of good and bad examples for each club.
Unlike your mates comments.

And I'm so used to calling him Labumba that whatever!
Hitting the wrong keys?

r e t a r d
r e t r e a d

That's 4 mistakes. Just sayin'.

Because your club is the epitome of a good one.
Pull your head in legend.
Your, you're - same, same.

Fair to say your idea of a Civil discussion totally ignored these posts from Sando..Not to mention every other hero calling Dodoro names for wanting to do his job properly..If you want to appear righteous and know what civil discussion means, perhaps point the finger in the right direction...Only one of us was going around calling other posters silly names now...feel free to call Sando out for his retreaded ways..Or is this a team thing...

Spare me. You consider this "civil discussion"?
Dawes Lamumba and Pederson say Hi...Vince's kicking was elite on Saturday...Not.
When one Dawes close another retread arrives on $450 a year...
I know your all bitter after watching them choke again on Sunday and showing zero heart but it shouldn't reflect on your ability to get a few more retreads into the fold for second rounders...Try not to seem so upset...You would have been embarrassing if you'd finished 8th anyway...your far better tanking like years gone by..

You're gonna love Melksham...He's fits right into your game plan from Last Sunday..
Nothing on the other 3? The list goes on at MFC when it comes to retreads..
You're trolling, plain and simple. Just because someone else took the bait and lowered themselves to your level doesn't legitimise your comments in the first place.

And frankly, considering your club turned 34 of its own players into convicted drug cheats, throwing shade at other clubs' administrations is beyond laughable.

If you want to continue this shit, take it to the Bay.

If Ryder wanted to come back to Essendon this year would you take our #19 and #38 picks?

haha, just banish them to the ignore list and be done with it. :D
Looks like the thread might have been cleaned up. ;) Gotta love the ignore feature, notwithstanding.

So is it strange that Hibberd didn't officially nominate a club in his statement, or is that simply modern trade politics? I can't keep up with all the trade rules these days about what can and can't be said during the season.

Worsfold's quote sounds a bit jokey. The levels of fairness thing made me smile.

Way too much being made of this.
Anyone who actually watched the interview and didn't just see the quotes in the ****ing Herald Sun would know that the "first round" comment was very lighthearted, in response to a reporter asking whether Essendon would attempt to bargain at all.

The Dodo may work in mysterious ways but you can't deny he gets results.

This trade though will be one of the quick ones.

Dogs he had a deal worked out until we had our picks removed, he tried to work from another angle for no luck and took 27 for Crameri
Port tried to haggle the Dodo for over a week, they folded in the end and threw in their 2nd as requested day 1 from Dodo
Saints tried to railroad us, Dodo called in the big boys from Waverley and then brokered the deal with Sydney that got us the pick Bains said he'd never part with

Who knows what he has up his sleeve this trade period. He does have pick 1 to play with so he is right in his element.
