There was talks a few weeks back that the club was looking at him via the PSD route so they are not going to do essentially a straight swap with Hibberd if that's the case

I think we will see the the Academy Teams move early & late picks to the 2nd, 3rd and maybe 4th rounds. They can always move up to match but affected picks go to the back of the line. With GC & Bowes they will have to have that pick to take him within 3 to 5 picks behind where they think a bid will come. I dont think GC can risk being at 4 and not take him. Its either move to 1 or flip pick 4 in a trade for a pick next year.

Agreed, no issue with that trade from a Melbourne perspective. GWS on the other hand...

Thing is with 3 way trades someone normally is, but a small forward is a position where some at Essendon believe there is a weakness. Green has had a poor year, but then again everyone has under Leppitsch as no-one gets his game plan. He's better than his height would suggest overhead and has very good goal sense, plus he will only be 24 next season. If the club really wants one then you can definitely do worse than him.
