Jammo has always been a tight, dour defender. Seems to have taken the next step and as is playing an attacking role when the opportunity presents - ala Scarlett from Geelong.

Also got some well deserved recognition from Leigh Matthews tonight. Keep up the great work Jammo.:thumbsu:

Jamo has added almost every string to his bow that had been lacking. It's great to have a defensive stopper as a backman ala Matthew Scarlett, Brian Lake, et al but what separated them from Jamison was that they often hurt you when their team got possession. To see him add that to his game this year really enables him to join that elite defender class.

Incredible work ethic, awe inspiring G&D and sublime leadership. Here's to you, Jamo!

Exactly! That's who he reminded me of. Not sure if he lost a single 1-on-1 all night and provided a lot of rebound ball. The best game I've seen him play, and he was probably only pipped by Judd as BOG.

Gave away an uncharacteristic 1-on-1 free in the first and Goodes out manoeuvre'd him on the wing in the dying minutes. .. but that is the only two contests I can remember him getting beaten tonight. .. Not a knock on him, just that with this years form I really take note when someone beats him 1-on-1 because its becoming rare. ..

I thought Leigh Matthews was going to have a bat in the commentary box over Jammo. **** he was good last night.

Agreed, but oddly enough, it almost sounded like it was the first time Lethal had ever seen Jamison play or something... In fact, it was as if he'd never heard of him until tonight, which is odd given Jamo's penchant for destroying Bradshaw whenever we played Brisbane.

Great to see non-Carlton people finally recognising just how good Jamison is. :thumbsu:

JAMMO has recaptured his 2009 form .... thank god .... his games this year have been pretty to watch ... just do not feel worried if Jammo is in the contest when the ball is coming in. Too bad we cannot clone him and have two Jammos down back .... would sort out any perceived problems thats for sure!

Has always been a gun, and now with a injury free preseason has taken that next step, led our defense last night, now if we can get Bower injury free and fit we will have a pretty good defense.

Throw in Watson as well into the mix and we have some strong depth.

I'm not one to jump on these forums and pump up a player, but Michael Jamison.... Holy Hell!... I haven't seen ANY key defender play this way since Scarlett a number of years ago. He has imposed himself down back in such a way that forwards are beginning to fear the sight of him. This game was no singleton either, however I think the difference this week is that the opposition was happy to kick to Jamison's opponent instead of trying to isolate one of our smaller defenders (Laidler last week and Watson in round 3)

Always been a favourite of mine. Great to see an attacking side to his game. Now if we could only get a fully fit Jamison & Bower playing in the same team.

How bloody great was it when he took that contested mark out on the wing, and then played on straight away breaking two tackles and gaining about 70 meters for us. Jamo is an out and out gun defender and if this form continues WILL be AA FB!!

Mark Robinson has also said on SEN this morning that he is now in the top 6 defenders of the competition. flipping BANG!

:thumbsu: Best game I have ever seen him play. Hardly beaten in any contest. Longmuire should have moved Goodes off him and into the midfield much earlier because Jammo beat him badly.

Frawley & Lyon are saying he is in the top 3 key defenders in the comp - along with Lake & Glass.... and that on current form he is the AA fullback.

Worthy praise for a gun player - one of the first picked for us every week now.

Very nice :thumbsu:

Really hope we can get Bower out there and in strong form for the second half of the season and we'll have a very good back line with the right balance between shutting them down and providing good rebound.
