Re: Michael Rischitelli
Admirable to hear a player not blame the extreme weather for our gobsmacking loss in Geelong and to give credit where it is due.
There are absolutely no excuses for what happened against the Cats. They were fantastic and we were non-competitive. We spoke about the game earlier in the week and all agreed that it was unacceptable.
Although we were disappointed with our own effort, all credit must go to the Geelong side who were just awesome. It seems they are really determined to make up for last year’s shock loss to Hawthorn in the Grand Final.
After a relatively solid start to the season, we now have to work to win back some of the respect that was lost from our 93-point defeat.
That begins this Saturday night when we take on the Bombers at the Gabba.
Whether it’s raining, clear, windy or balmy – our home crowd can expect a much better effort from the Lions this week.

Am so looking forward to the game on Saturday night and judging by his Den Diary we can expect big things from Rischitelli of which we all know he is capable.
