He lead strongly but was a bit erratic. i.e. changing things frequently at the last minute, frustrating coaches and players.

If he wasn't head honcho he might be okay but I agree with Spackler, he seems like a dummy

Slightly off topic, but how's that Brisbane chairman yesterday?

Starts fielding questions about potential replacement coaches, while sitting alongside the out-going club legend he's just sacked.

Stay classy. Goose.

Sounds as if there may have been a player revolt and the club had no option but to look for a new coach.
IMO Voss was growing into the job and will make a good assistant now somewhere else and potentially a good head coach in the future.

One of the things in favour of Hinkley Vs Primus that is also applicable to Voss is that neither Primus nor Voss had/have experience with club that has a the off field component fully stocked and functional.
That might sound as if it is something that is easy to manage however the reality is that it is something that requires experience.
Voss needs to get a job as an assistant at a big club or at the very least a club that isn't financially restricted and IMO he will then be able to return to coaching and make a fist of it.

Yeah i'm with you

Buckley got a golden ride that he's almost finished squandering

Don't agree with that - Buckley clearly has a plan, he's cleaning out the guys who thrived under Mick but struggle with a disciplined, structured system.

I've got no doubt Bucks & Eddie expected a bit of a flatspot for the first year or two, but they've got the balls to accept that, with a view that they're reloading for next year and the next decade.

Voss is the classic example of why having a legend of your club take over the reigns as head coach is a romantic horrible idea. more often than not ends in tears

Worsfold and Roos are the obvious exceptions

I'd much rather Neeld.

Guy was stuck with the worst list since Fitzroy, injuries to his only 5 genuine AFL standard players throughout the year (Grimes, Trengove, Clark, Frawley & Sylvia).

But even with his horrid head coaching record, he was close to the best assistant coach in the game a few years back. Did great things with Collingwood's midfield. I'd love him at Adelaide over Campo & Bicks.
