He said he can't wait to work with Kenny and the midfield group, especially Wines.

I know it's an oft repeated point but to think we can now attract someone of Michael Voss' calibre and reputation when nobody wanted to touch the club with a 10 foot pole 2 years ago. Gee whiz.

I wonder what Garry Lyon thinks of this appointment.

Yeah, but there's always two sides to every story and discontent amongst ex-players might mean something, or it might not. On a list of 40+ players, one management style will not work with all of them and you'll always have some personality issues.

It's clear you have far greater passion for your concern than I do for my optimism, but I'm happy to let it play out. I think it will be a good appointment and I am hopeful of this because I assume the decision makers at the club behind the appointment have made it using sound judgement. They may not have of course, which will be a failing, but they've got enough credits in the bank over the last 2 years for me to back their judgement.

I think the people who really matter here are the Port players. They seem to be over the moon about the appointment of Vossy, so that's good enough for me. I have no doubt he'll bring a lot of good things to our footy club.

They will next year though. Beams, Rockliff, Hanley, Rich, Redden, Christensen, Zorko, Mayes, Aish, Taylor. Boy oh boy wowee. Just need to find some key forwards and they're set.

They do have some good young talent coming through, and this is despite them being hit heavily with young players leaving.

I think Wines will go from boom first 2 years to AA next season, if there was ever a player that looked like the next Voss/Roo it's our boy Ollie.

Voss is going to love working with him, I can't wait to see Ollie grabbing the ball from a clearance & running through blokes as if they were Aus kick kids lol.

Just listened to the interview & it sounds like it was an opportunity to learn that he just couldn't pass up, I still can't believe KT managed to get him on board so quickly without any rumours/whispers very good pick up by the club.

I'll now be dissapointed if Moore is moved on this trade period. I'm looking forward to see how he develops under Vossy. Teach him to through his weight around a bit!

Dunno but he was in Melbourne this morning for his last run on SEN with Maher and Gazey so wouldn't have touched down in Adelaide yet me thinks

Really like this inclusion to our club.

Vossy always spoke about that the lack of resources whilst he was coaching Brisbane, and how this was a huge issue for retaining his best players.

With the right resources and support around him, I think he'll get the credit and success he deserves.

Vossy rang Shaun to say g'day and he got put through to KT by mistake.

After a few pleasentries KT casually mentions that if he's interested there's a spot open for a midfield line manager and that Ken, Shaun and the boys would happy for him to join the team and even Josh would be cool with it.

Vossy casually says sweet I'll check with Missus and if she's okay with it no probs.

KT casually says cool let me know and I'll get the paperwork started.

Job done, quick, quiet and casual.*
