MICHAEL Voss has ruled himself out of the running for the vacant Adelaide senior coaching job.

Voss’ name was one of many linked to the Crows post after Adelaide sensationally sacked Brenton Sanderson on Wednesday night.

The triple-premiership captain coached Brisbane for 109 games from 2009-13 before suffering the same fate as Sanderson.

He has enjoyed a thriving media career in 2014 on TV and radio in addition to his role as head coach on the AFL reality show The Recruit.

Voss said he had no intention of returning to coaching.

“I’m happy doing what I’m doing. I’ve really enjoyed this past year,’’ Voss said.

Didnt expect that one. Very happy with the appointment, he would be better for the run at Brisbane, made a few mistakes as a rookie but seemed to be building something just before the board rolled him with that shambolic situation last year.

I think he went straight into coaching without serving an apprenticeship first.It was always going to end in tears.

When you have an administration and a football program like ours it's amazing how easily everything just falls seamlessly into place during times of mini-crisis. 3 years ago the defection of a guy like Walsh would have been a massive body blow we'd have been naval gazing over for months. Nowadays it's no more than a slight bump in the road that can be rectified in a matter of days. We truly have become a destination club.

Quality coach when you look at our list now, was really building something, and was putting a competitive side on the park without the coaching staff, facilities and budget of other clubs.

3 or 4 years under Hinkley and I would be shocked if he isn't considered for a senior position again.

His experience and expertise in the mid field will only make you stronger.

All year, I had a mixed relationship with your team. Throughout the season, I was indifferent, saying "nah they won't do that in September", but grew so much respect for you guys in the finals series, and were so close to a grand final.

Now with Voss appointed as your midfield coach/manager, he'll take you guys even higher. Cannot wait to see how Wines, Hartlett, Polec and Wingard transform their game. Coupled with our recent acquisition of Christensen and Beams, everything's looking up.

Absolutely cannot wait for this Brisbane-Port rivalry to get even tastier over the next few years. Now you guys are my second team, god damn it Port, why you do this to me?!

Absolutely stunned. It was only a few weeks ago he ruled out going back to coaching as he was set in the media. KT has a huge hat and a secret stash of rabbits.
