Was this out of the blue? Coz I didn't even hear a whisper until it was a done deal. Maybe that's the way the club orchestrated it so they weren't gazumped. Good time to do it in trade week.

Either way, great outcome, I get prouder and prouder.

Polec's twin brother was badly beaten up in December 2011. His offender was in court the other day and jailed for 3.5 years with a non parole period of 1 year. This is one of the reasons why Jared wanted to come back home.

Thirteen pages in. Has anyone mentioned how he's Polec's coach again when at this time last year Polec was lumped into the general "He left Brisbane because of problems with Vossy" shtick?

FWIW Polec has tweeted that he's stoked to be working with Voss again. Ford also linked a story about Voss keeping in touch with Polec since he left Brisbane.

The beautiful thing about this is that, when the Crows approached Voss, he refused citing media commitments. Different story when Port came calling. Vossy also knocked the Swans back: do we need any more proof that the Power is now THE club of choice, on AND off the field???????

With Vossy, Burgess and Wagner the connection with "The Recruit" is interesting. Just need Ben Dixon and the sports psychologist (Leigh Russell) to make the connection complete. I wonder if Burgess had any input here?.

Minor. Its about his 12 year playing relationship with Shaun Hart and then a 10 year personal relationship with Hart. I dont think Hart did any coaching at Brisbane. He was involved at one of the AFLQ sides either Southport or Labrador or Broadbeach for a couple of years and then went to the GC when they started up in the U/18's comp.

Wonder if Voss will live in Adelaide or commute a la Laidley and Richardson. I think as midfield mentor he would have to live here. Does Michael have a young family?

Live-in coach? I'm assuming you mean residing in Adelaide. No-one would think any different unless that was specified. I don't see anything on Voss joins Power as midfield manager that suggests another commuting assistant like Dean Laidley.
