Unpopular opinion time: I think Vossy has been great and I think he's the reason we're seeing gems like Ah Chee come through. The issues we had this entire season are issues we were seeing at the pointy end of last year. People just want to raise their pitchforks and find a scape goat.

We've lost the extreme hands under pressure and the composure with the ball coming out of stoppages. Last year these two things we were nearly AFL best at.
Absolutely. Boak is a perfect example of this. In many games this year he has failed to find any space and has not been able to deliver clean ball from stoppages. Usually in the last quarter he improves in this area when the pace and intensity of the game has dropped. Teams have targeted him relentlessly and it has been a winning strategy. For us to improve next year Boak will need to improve his clearance work.

Or we decide to get bigger bodies in there and decide to concentrate on using his outside running power.

Michael is a logic scapegoat, he's the only differentiator in the box this year to previous and our box has been smashed, so logical extension is it's Voss :)

I've got my doubts about Voss but he's got a couple of years to prove himself. Besides I think it's become pretty obvious that skills and conditioning are our major issues.

I've been a Voss hater, but in reflection I think we have been harsh. The midfield is a symptom of a problem larger than Voss. Our entire side has played shit football (in fact i think defence has been our worst performing line).

Voss inherited a midfield coming off two different coaches in two years, a shortened pre-season and an interrupted one having to move everything over etc.

His work on the recruit was interesting, he certainly knows how to fire up but he also knows how to handle some lads who are faltering. I'm not surprised to see he has got some good results out of gray and arch.

I think he has a huge passion for the game and a big personality and will learn plenty from this year. History shows it takes two years for coaches to impart proper change to required effect. Walsh and richo were acceptions here, not the rule.

I for one am excited to see what he brings next year after a full pre-season and a chance to get to know his squad.

True, we lost all those games in a row last year with Walsh.

More we didn't have big bodied in the midfield. Last year we had an in form Lobbe, Wines and often Moore to provide space for Boak and Gray. Lobbe has been shit, so theres been more of trying to grab the ball from
the opposition. Wines missed large parts of the season and even when he was fit some of us got tired of repeatedly calling for more big bodied mids to be played.

Wines and (hopefully Ah Chee) as big bodied mids, with either Lobbe back in better form or Ryder as the main ruck should make a big difference. Along with Polec waiting for the quick give rather than get it out, poor disposal, stoppage again. 2015 was the year of the cluster**** everywhere.

I don't it's Voss to blame personally, rather, that we replaced 2 well seasoned assistants with some a relatively fresh former head coach. We needed that senior, experienced head on our panel.

Yeah.

People mainly remember us flicking the switch and embarking on that spectacular finals series, but the couple of months before that are a carbon copy of the dross we've served up from Round 6-onward.

Between the loss to Sydney at the SCG and the stellar ignition that was Q1 of the EF, we went 4-6 with four of our losses coming as heavy favourites and having made hard work of wins over Melbourne and Gold Coast.

Walsh was on board then. Voss was shooting the shit with Kingy in the 'War Room'.

In form ruckmen palming to advantage/team mate always helps a mid field look good.
Ryder last week ='s case in point. If Voss is the reason for Arch n Sammy G improvement then big tick
Lobbe getting beaten and or tapping straight to oppo results in innocent victims of our frustration/anger

A few weeks ago I saw Voss roll up to a college game and tell Tony Mcguiness how he should be playing his lad. It made a bad day good.

I suspect he has a plan to get Pittard and Byrne-Jones on a half back flank each and confusing the life out of opposition coaches.
