....Vossy was in the centre square and he looked up and yelled out, "Hey Goddard!"
I didn't say anything. I just looked at him, but in my head I was thinking, 'Oh no, it's Michael Voss, don't talk to me'. So he calls out again, "If you come in here and touch the ball I will f---ing kill you."
I was 18 and I thought, "What's going on? That's Michael Voss and he is threatening to kill me."
Pike is standing there and he said, "He's not kidding."

Regardless of what it's supposed to be that this guy brings to the table, the facts are thus:

Since his appointment as Midfield Manager, all our onballers have regressed or stagnated.

- Boak sucks.
- Wines has gone from looking like a can't miss elite mid to a bigger, slightly better Andrew Swallow
- Robbie Gray no longer enjoys his football
- Ebert is a peripheral plodder. Where are the 30+ disposal games?
- Hammer is still on deck like Salopek was year on year
- Wingard doesn't seem to go into the guts in bursts anymore

And Michael Barlow just wound back the clock to 19-dickety-eight with 43 disposals and 2 goals.

Shouldn't a Midfield Manager manage things like that?

We can't afford to sack Ken, but surely we can find enough loot in our kitbag to send this Primus clone packing.

Couldn't agree more. A leader by example not strategy.

Yeah I think it's pretty clear now that he still resents us for halting his mega premiership run and has thus dedicated his life to taking us down from the inside.

Or he's just shit at his job.

It's one of those.

Voss is in a 4 year contract? wtf?
Well 2 more, unless KT & co decide to top him up like our list managers did with half of our underperforming 'star' players.

I wonder how many years we gave Chad to coach the Maggies, tbh that'd be the perfect out of sight out of mind role for the remainder of Voss' tenure.

Another week for Voss to cop it again
Why shouldn't he? it's not a one man show any more in modern football, a club with balls will sack assistants mid-year at some point take it to the bank.

Our midfield has been a joke since he arrived

I reckon Bass will be midfield coach next year - wonder if the players hate what Voss has done to the midfield and its reflected in their attitude. I'd expect to see big changes next year. People are better in the workplace when they are happy, the players are not happy at the moment, something stinks.

Everyone looks cooked and over trained.
Until this post I was agreeing with you.

It is easy to look cooked when there is no structure or a structure that doesn't work and the workload is not spread out as it should be.

Spending weeks trying to work from a ruck who lost most of the taps and then spending weeks having to work to a (planned) losing ruck must be sucking the energy out of our mids. Has any team ever made the finals with their first, second and third ruck injured? And fourth ruck, Frampton, injured regularly so he can't even put a few games together. It's a tough gig.

Including Ken into the equation, he, Voss, ( and Hart? ) are halfway through 4 year contracts, which would have to cost somewhere around 2 mill to terminate, so unless the club has a get out clause for each ( or any of them ) it won't happen.

Something definitely appears to have affected the chemistry of the team, with a number of key players looking disinterested, and others performing at half rat power when compared to their best.
Robbie Gray and Ollie Wines are just two examples, so I'm in the move Voss sideways camp.

What we can be sure of is that nothing will happen until season's end, and we all have more chance of winning X-Lotto than there is that another club will take Voss off our hands.
