It's human nature. As are many things that people get worked up over.

It's human nature to defend yourself - either by fight or flight.

Mocking or disliking someone is just a form of defence when people feel threatened.

The question is, as intelligent beings - why do we feel threatened by someone disagreeing with us?

We should be able to process that shit consciously, and not resort to human nature.

It's not easy. But I'd like to see people try a bit harder.

I was actually in support of your argument if you read back through my post. I was putting the perspective of the anti woke into the discussion as I know first hand alot of people like this which I find infuriating. Perhaps I didn't phrase what I wrote properly so it was interpreted like I am an anti woke warrior which I absolutely am not. I've been victim of casual racism growing up for years and told to get over it it's a joke lighten up etc because back than it was seen as acceptable because everybody turned a blind eye to it. If you have the balls to say something racist out loud your always thinking with that opinion and using it's all a joke as an excuse. Newman used to do all kinds of stuff like that on the Footy Show which is deplorable in today's society but a vast majority of people loved it and still do. That's the problem.

Yes it does - but according to the science "genitals, gonads, internal reproductive structures, hormone ratios and secondary sex characteristics" - and chromosomes are the 'biological markers' that determine male or female.

And not all makers align..

So it's a very grey.

Of course society sees it differently. Most of us have a much more simplistic take on male or female.

But that's why 'gotcha' questions like 'how do you define a woman?' are just dumb. Even more so when you're asking a judge.

Why would they do this other than to virtue signal? What is the purpose? The Right in Australia have gone pretty far to the left though (socially) in order to 'win'.

Yep, I did a 2-party preferred poll on the politics forum a few years ago, and it came back as the Greens would win government if only bigfooty people voted. The extreme left party who only 10% of people vote for.

I've realized you just have to let go on here and let people be wrong. It's just a hivemind. These people are in a total bubble and totally out of touch with the way regular Australians think.
