Collingwoodboy you have absolutly no idea about MJ.

He's not going to buy any team!

Jordan was never mixed up in a gambling scandal!

Back in the 60's there werent any 7 footers.

How the hell does Jordan cheat in the Post?

CB you know absolutly nothing.

$500 million?! Hah! That was five years ago. Try $1-1.2 billion now. Of course he'd need partners, and then there's that problem of a gambling scandal in his past. The NFL is very selective about who it grants franchises to (although being investigated by the SEC is apparently ok--stand up Lamar Hunt). Jordan is much more likely to buy a baseball or an ice hockey club--almost nobody wants them, they're not very selective about who they sell them to, and, frankly, they need the attention a person like MJ can stir up for them.

OK I stand corrected then, but I thought I remember reading that "Dumb Ass" Dan Snyder bought the 'Skins for about $800 Mil, which was expenive for a franchise. Maybe that was longer ago than I thought ????

Your right Arch, the he bought the Redskins for $800 million in 1999 but that price also included the stadium which was only 2 years old at the time .

Nevertheless the Redskins are one of the more expensive franchises anyway. Not all franchises would cost that much.

That is true. NFL franchises are the most expensive in the USA, and I had forgot that the stadium was included in the deal.
In fact there's a franchise the NBA can't give away right now *LOL* They're even offering naming rights to the new owner as an incentive to buy the shitful Grizzlies. Can you imagine the KFC Colonels or the FedEx Couriers playing in the NBA next season?!

As for Jordan, he's been retired for several years now, so one can only assume he's gambled away everything he ever made in basketball, already.
