Yup, remember when Paul Keating all of a sudden was a 'longtime mad passionate Collingwood supporter' (during the 1990 Finals Series) :o
And who was the one who suddenly barracked for Port around the time they won a flag? Mark Latham, when he was a PM hopeful wasn't it?

Then there's the genuines, Bana and Meldrum at St Kilda, Russell Crowe at South Sydney in the NRL, Darrel Somers at Geelong etc.

Love how he always tries to put footy into his movies, always respect someone who is truly passionate about something. His scene in Funny People explaining footy to Adam Sandler is had me in stitches.

"then the big ****er, hits the little ****er, and that little ****er hands it to the big ****er, ahhh I HATE that big ****er"

Don't know about Mick but (as is well documented) his guitarist Ronnie Wood is big mates with the snooker player Jimmy White - Jimmy is mates with Australian snooker maestro Neil Robertson - I am lead to believe that Neil is that big a Tiger Fan he has a RFC tattoo on his left upper arm and wears Yellow and Black jocks when he is playing finals matches in a big tournement !!

I understand Keithy Richards did a few lines with a few of our supporters once!!:p

I think you might mean 'wrote a few lines' GD (couldn't imagine Keef or Tiger supporters 'doing lines') - must have been a slip of the key board.
I think Keef wrote the 'Yellow and Black' bit into our club song.

Well standby. You might see a well known NSW based federal Polly hovering around the G next Saturday night.
