Exhale You - any word on the savabeel filly tomorrow race 1? Got a tip that it was beating stable 3yos and it might be sold to Hk if it wins
Sorry buddy, i was at the cricket all day yesterday and the footy last night.
Your tip was half right, she has been beating older horses in work but i don't believe there are any plans to sell her to Hong Kong interests (certainly hasn't been any talk of it).
Rick Jamieson owns the horse (the guy who owns Trick Of Light, Bubble Below and Varevees) and his sole focus is building his breeding empire, so i'd be totally shocked if he even entertained selling her.
Jamieson, through Dermot Farrington, is all about buying well bred fillies, getting some black type into them and then sending them to stud whilst they're still very young (you generally won't see any of his horses race beyond 5, or have more than 20-25 starts).
Mick doesn't race horses at 2, but My Emotion showed a lot early (although she's very green and still learning) and black type is vital for the Jamieson fillies/mares so he went against his own rule in the hope of pinching some relatively easy black type, and it worked.
She'll be tipped out now and will come back for the spring and probably be aimed at 7 or 8 furlong fillies races.
BTW I hope some got on with the TAB Fixed odds, apparently she was $10 early.
I didn't have a chance to get there early enough, so had to take $7.
There are two things people should know about Mick Kent.
1) He rarely wastes a run. Generally, if he presents a horse on raceday it's done enough work to earn a cheque.
2) He's excellent at placing his horses and would rather win a maiden at Seymour than run a solid 6th or 7th in town, so, if he brings a horse to town, either for it's first start or a sudden jump from the provincials, get on.
The golden rule strikes again.
