He's been amazing, but has the move actually paid dividends? We are no closer to a flag now than we were in 2008.

Nope, we buy people and hope they solve the issues. They don't. Not even Judd.

These moves are great for marketing and membership but they don't necessarily prove successful on-field. I just want us to go through a diligent process rather than appointing the biggest name out there. Surely that isn't being ridiculous.

I believe we are closer than 2008

Judd has added more than just his body and skill, his influence around the club has helped with the growth of our other midfielders especially Murphy

BUT im looking forward to a coach with a little more mongrel in him taking some of our blokes by the scruff of their neck and giving them a shakeup.

2013 will be a good year as long as Malthouse brings a hard edge to our players.

Do we really want this man in our club, his outburst directed at Steven Milne was inexcusable!!
His lack of leadership and maturity was there for all to see.
If we sack Ratten we have -issed $1.2mil against the wall on coaches in the past 4 years, the clubs administration needs to be held accountable.

Press Conference tomorrow Aph according to Ten news right now and Ratts will not coach us next year.

I feel sorry for Ratts but this is the game and it has always been like this like it or lump it. I will welcome MM with open arms if we get him and fully support the club and look forward to the new era we are about to embark on.

Whilst I think Ratten is far from perfect, I think that he is capable of coaching our side (assuming not too many injuries) to a premiership next year. The question I propose is:

In 2013, Is Ratten more likely to get us to a flag than Malthouse in the process of adapting to our club?

I'm kind of warming to the idea of Ratten 2013, Roos 2014, assuming Roos would be interested in coaching us.

What do people think of Roos versus Malthouse?

100% expect the club to announce that Ratts wont be coach next year. You don't call a press conference to confirm that we are keeping Ratts when he still has a contract for 12 Mths and if we were going to keep him for next year it would just be business as usual.
