Collingwood coach Michael Malthouse is back at the Whitten Oval, albeit temporarily, as a signed up member of the Western Bulldogs.
Malthouse is the fourth longest-serving coach of the club and was at Footscray from 1984 to 1989. He became a member of the club on Wednesday as part of a campaign by the Bulldogs to capture lapsed members and those who have never signed up.
He was presented with his ticket by his full-forward of the time, Simon Beasley.
"The Western Bulldogs are proud of the fact that Michael's formative years as a coach began here at the Whitten Oval and we are particularly delighted that he has chosen to be a part of our "New Recruits" campaign by signing up as a 2003 Western Bulldogs member," said club chief executive, Campbell Rose.
