also **** it if hes injured i want him played anyway

just put him on the ground for like 2mins then take him off and rest him

he deserves to play his 300th game its something that would play on his mind for the rest of his life if he didnt get the record

i dont think anyone coaches, staff, players & fans would have a problem with it...DO IT ROOSY...DO IT MOL

Selfishly i wish he could have a week off so he can play his 300th in Sydney but i think it's fitting that both Melbourne and Sydney (swans) fans get to celebrate his achievements on his 300th and at round 22 in his final game.

Champion in the true sense of the word. Well spoken and humble when i had a chance to meet him a few years ago. Would have loved it if he was retiring from the Crows instead ;)!

Funny time to announce it though. At least Saturday won't be his last game though :p!

Not selfish at all. Roosy should wrap Micky O up in cotton wool for a week so he can play his 300th at home. Has to be a home game:thumbsu:.

My family and I have watched Micky O for his entire career, and every game has been a pleasure to watch. A sensational player and a gentleman of the game. We love you Micky - all the best for the rest of the season and your retirement :thumbsu::)

yep great player, right time to end it. wonder how good he could have been without all the injuries. will leave a very big hole next year. We really have to make an effort to draft aboriginal kids into our side, we are already a very dour team and without micky well there just won't be any MAGIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You guys think we'll work it out that he'll play his 300th in Sydney?

If he plays every game from now, it will be against Richmond at the MCG in round 19. If Roosy decides to rest him, it could be aganst Geelong at ANZ the week after.

It's a sad day. :(

The first time i really remember him was in 95 when he bagged 4 against the Blues in a 72 point triumph, i knew he was going to be special!

Hopefully he makes it to 300 where ever it may be, i'll definately be there in rd 22 against the Lions to see him off.

Will be holding back the tears like many others i imagine :D

he will want to play every game he can so going on that he might as well wait to play at the SCG. I think it would be fitting for him to play his 300th on the MCG the home of footy and where his greatest triumph was achieved.

I will be going to his 300th at the MCG against the Tigers for sure, had already planned to go see Sydney at ANZ against Cats so either way I will be seeing him play his 300th, (hoping no injury)
