Micky O.

The last of the generation that dragged us out of the dark ages.

Always love his work and he played through so much pain too so often.

Champion. The last games this year are going to be tinged with sadness every time I see him.

My main reason behind going to as many of this years H& A season has been to get to seethe likes of Mickey O."Seen it coming for a while but it doesn't make it any easier".One of my favourite quotes from the interview.

I thank you now & will at every opportunity I get in the coming months,Mick.

Congratulations on a fantastic footballing career MOL.

Always a fan of players who give there all to one club and MOL has certainly done that with the Swans.

Hes played some great games against my mob in the past aswell and was always "The danger man" i often talked about when it came to discussing match ups for Eagles/Swans games.

All the best for retirement MOL and heres hoping for some more Micky O Magic before you hang up the boots...And congrats also on the upcoming 300th :thumbsu:

Didn't realise the Tigers game would be his 300th. Wanted to go because it's against my Dad's team, but now more so. Will definately try and get down for it.

I suspect Round 22 will be a hugely emotional game with presumably Barry, O'Loughlin and possibly Crouch playing their last game, so no matter what I'll get to it too.

I am not going to say all the best, yada yada. I will save that for the end of the season.

Get back to work Magic, we are only half way through.

It's a sad day. :(

The first time i really remember him was in 95 when he bagged 4 against the Blues in a 72 point triumph, i knew he was going to be special!

Hopefully he makes it to 300 where ever it may be, i'll definately be there in rd 22 against the Lions to see him off.

Will be holding back the tears like many others i imagine :D
Me too. That was my first Swans game and I've been smitten by The Magic ever since. This is more than sad. It's the end of an era. :(

I saw him last year at the Crows match, when he and Kirk were going in - also saw Jolly and Barry - because I got there so early. This was when he was on crutches, I think the second or third week since the injury, and back then there was the belief he'd return that season. He gave me a big warm smile, but I was too nervous to say hi. He didn't have to acknowledge the gawking kid staring at him, but he did, and gave a warm smile, and that just meant the world to me, because I'm sure he could have ignored me, or stared back at me or something like that, but I dunno, I guess just the fact that he made me feel appreciated means that I rate him so much higher than those players you here about who don't give autographs.

I will do everything in my power to go, even if it means getting grounded from going overseas with my friend.

Anyone see that mainboard thread?
