Has any one heard much about YYN for signings or are they keeping same list. And what is the go at Moe will they feild 2 teams next year when they are losing all there players to Mid Gippy teams.

Have heard Kenny McKay will play at YYN this year as well as being fitness coach at the club.
Seems to be a few leaving the Lions but i'd think they'll still field 2 teams, I just hope for their sake they can get an U18's team up and running again.

I reacon he would get them fit wonder if his brother Robert will follow, he would be a good pick up maybe they might be a force in 2012 i also heard they have got some top players coming from TTU.

Any truth to the rumor last season ass. coach and captain owen budge has left yyn and signed with thorpy? Heard they offered a open cheque book to sign him. Know he already has family connections there.

Id be tipping that would be true, pretty sure his missis plays there.
Grima will be a big loss for Thorpy if going by whats posted above
is correct, good pick up for Traf aswell.

Grima wont be at Thorpdale next year, 100%.
He spoke to us at Newborough as well.

Its a bit presumptuous to assume we spoke to everybody. The players we spoke to were players we felt we needed to improve on last year. Dan orchestrated the meeting with us, not the other way around.
Wouldnt have spoken to more than 8 or 9 players but got the key players we were after. Got 4 to the club and all were ex-players. You cant really do any more than that.
The big challenge has been keeping the players we have. One player was offered 10k to join a NGFL club for 2012. Certainly some money in the North Gippy, thats for sure.

Can any one confirm who morwell east have signed as players. Rumor has it they are paying gormandale & TTU fringe players around $200 to $250 a game and none of them are even 6 feet tall. Has there captain Wes amolos signed with newbrough????

Sounds like newb have recruited well! Wonder if other clubs will try and gain the services of Plugeroo next off season? Would clubs go down the path of paying a bloke solely as recruiter?

Nope. You couldn't have it more wrong. We obviously sat down at the end of this season to discuss our deficiencies, but I had absolutely nothing to do with Newborough's recruitment this off-season.
In any case, a club would be foolish to pay for a recruiter. There is enough know-how and football nouse at the club to recognise what a club needs. And at the end of the day, the 4 players that have returned are all ex-Newborough players of some form.

So tell me the 4 ex-players you got to Newborough Plugeroo have come back for the love of the club or are they contracted ?
I have no issue with the players earning $$$ or clubs paying out $$$.

Nilma had money to burn so that dose not make you a guru of recruiting. And the 4 players newb got were all ex players that had gone to Moe and come home Kennedy, Risol, Payne & Hancock. If any club has plenty of coin you will get good players but look at Nilma now!

They are quality players and good on Newborough for enticing those
players home - I dont see a problem with it and it is smart recruiting.
Payne and Kennedy played their juniors at Newborough,
I dont really know the other 2.
Kenno is a well respected bloke, you throw coin as those types of
blokes and you get what you pay for as others will follow guys like that.
Just like Matt Dyer at Boolarra.
Newborough and Yinnar look to of recruited well.
They are quality players and good on Newborough for enticing those

I dont know about making Webb look second rate - even if he is getting on.
He fair dominated Gippy Latrobe back in his day.
Hancock will obviously be a great pick up for the Dogs.
If they can get hold of some in and under mids, theyll obviously
have a very good year.

Im only assuming McCulloch - who was assistant/captain or coach at Tgon,
will drag a few to Yinnar with him.
Its hard to assess them and how they will go.
But I definately think Newborough will be there abouts as they made
steady improvement last year - even pumped Boolarra at one stage.
With 4 apparent quality players included, youd expect theyll be the biggest
improvers.

Do you people not listen?
I am not part of the recruitment team at Newborough. For that matter, I wasnt much into recruiting at Nilma Darnum either. Coaching was more what I did there. These guys could probably have got more at other clubs. Chandler played with them all at Moe as well so there is already a connection with him.
