Mid-point - what's your game of the year?

Having a blast with The Long Dark. It's not for everyone but it's probably the best survival game I've played ever. And no zombies so thank god.

This year has been excellent. Best first quarter by a mile, followed by a reasonably steady mix of great games.

I only feel like I've just caught up by finishing Zelda.

Just in time for the Christmas release onslaught.

Definitely Resident Evil 7 for me. Absolutely loved it. Went into it thinking I was going to be disappointed but it just kept me. And despite it's flaws, AFL Evolution would feature heavily for me. Probably not the best game, but by far my most played and enjoyed

I've heard some great things about that game! Do you play on PC or console? Was thinking of buying it on PS4. Looks like a more realistic, no zombie version of 7 Days to Die.

No need to get salty, just simple observation that both the ps4 and the Switch have had constant back to back game of the year candidates while the xbox has had jack s**t releases.
