Good player just not consistent enough and got squeezed out by covid cuts. Highlights package make him look like a super star. Would bob up for a highlight then not touch the ball for 3 quarters. Really liked his potential. Hope he kills it for you guys

It's so great to see Parker get another crack, but I'm also a bit devastated. Loved him at the Saints, brought so much mongrel and just felt like the Covid year really stopped his development. Was dead against delisting him.

It's just sad to see a guy I really loved as a Sainter go to another team. Will be hard to watch him succeed for the Tigers, but I'll be stoked for him all the same.

Me too. I really wanted to keep him and I couldn’t be happier he gets another life. Will not begrudge him playing elsewhere even if he wins a fish there (let’s face it everyone does leave us to win flags elsewhere).

Out of contract at the wrong time mostly. Was a strange delisting after his 2019 season. He’ll fit right in at the Tigers IMO.

Liked watching Parker play. Definitely my favourite player at Richmond and like everyone here I hope he goes well.

Actually North picked him up as a rookie, no one drafted him. But on the same token, neither was Wilkie, Marshall or Sincair. All best 22 players. Maybe some players just need to show more or have flaws in their personality when it comes to the rigours of afl life

Wrong.
They drafted him a year later in the national draft. still got a good deal, picking him up late.
But he was there for anyone, but its like they have a secret recruiters meeting with all the clubs, no-one is hot until they say.

I'm loving the melts on Schlong, Freeman and Goober not to mention all the mids....when none of then got picked up...by anyone...none at all.

If these players are so good...why did all 18 clubs pass up on these guys? I'm definitely happy about Max Heath. Better to go for project players in mid season drafts.

Any truth to this?

Same reason we let Hickey go for Hannebery and Hind go for nothing, we like seeing quality walk out the door to be charitable to the opposition. Parker has the tools.

We put a lot of training into these guys to play any other position than what they're good at. So thank us later.

ive watched his highlights... looks good but he’ll have to buy into the Richmond way pretty quick... especially those “ all about me “ celebrations.

moves well and has a nice kick.... but it’s his tackling that would have caught our eye.

I think that's just the mail from one poster. Most of us don't have an opinion except that he plays the way we like. He is aggressive at the ball and chases and tackles. He is quick and can take a grab. Just those characteristics will endear him to Dimma. Cheers.

dunno about being genuinely disliked. Maybe he wasn’t a fan of most of the boys on the list himself.

There are groups of mates at each club, some are more distanced from the rest than others are.

from the outside looking in it seems like he was good mates with guys like Shane Savage, Robbie Young, might have been a couple other guys. They never seemed particularly close to other blokes on the list.

Sav especially was easy to see as he has been on our list for so long. But he was a regular for quite a while. And never seemed to have a negative relationship with most of the boys. They just weren’t his kind of people on a social level. Focused on being a father to his kids.

Parker is a father too. Probably natural he fit more into that crowd then the younger boys with less responsibilities, more care free etc.

that was my take on it anyway. No inside knowledge.

Based on contract size. If offered 700 to 750 a year we get band 1. If 600 to 650k we match.

Have to be some questions asked about our list management and/or ability to get the most out of our players if Bruce, Hind, Hickey, Parker etc are all playing excellent footy this year… have Hill performing at a fraction of his previous output and we then also punt Billings who clearly has the tools to be an A grader.
