Thought that was going to be the case once HK was off the board

I would have been livid if we passed last year but it makes sense not to grab someone we don't rate too highly with how tight our list spots will be at the end of the year.

It is for say Bytel or Byrnes.

If we had of picked up one MSD player (let alone two) it would have meant as I had posted previously that someone who is only contracted till end of 2022 would have been delisted, and as we have so few actual retirements, or real duds, on our list it would have meant that someone was going to be let go who on the surface should have been worth another year.

So to take a MSD selection the club would have had to have believe that they were worthy enough to have squeezed out a player whom we are actually otherwise ok at retaining.

Hugo was apparently that player, and those still left were not.
