Ballenden seems to be playing good footy in the SANFL in the ruck. Averaging 17 disposals, 6 marks, 2 contested marks, 3 clearances and a goal per game.

Can't see us being keen unless he's a legit key forward option.
If he's been in the Lions' academy you can just about guarantee we'll take him.

From past mid season drafts Richmond have looked to get in mature guys that fit a need immediately and were likely to push for a starting role immediately. I would say that we would be looking at a mature player such as Carmichael, Florenca or Turner. Possibly a Ballenden or Derksen if going tall.

Oh, and what has happened to Schlensog? Was the big mover and shaker last year but crickets this year.
Reckon we def go tall , we got cover in mids

Will be at the Hawks imo

Playing as a ruck foward in the sanfl and the Hawks are desperate for any player over 190cm and their rucks are shot

Some list managers have also mentioned WAFL key position player Wade Derksen.

Derksen, who hails from Darwin, is said to have grown 12cm inside the last two years and has won admirers for his start to the season at Peel Thunder.

The 20-year-old is listed on the WAFL website as 195cm and 90kg. He had spent two seasons on Essendon’s VFL list but only managed one game due to Covid cancellations.

A December article documenting his signing to Peel had him listed as a 189cm flanker.

South Fremantle star Blake Schlensog to miss grand final rematch against Subiaco with broken hand

I mean, the last South Freo player with a broken hand worked out bloody well for us.

Cheers mate, makes sense. Get him in for a GF debut ya reckon;)
Balmey went over and broke his hand.;)

Massimo seems impossible to get to us, may be a chance with carmichael but its a low chance
Ill Be Back Jim Carrey GIF

North will probably take Garth

They have no backline and are desperate for any warm body thats taller than 190cm

That makes sense. Garth is an AFL B'ish quality KPD. He can't take the monsters. But does a decent job. His issue is really that we had better options (and then got Gibcus after he left ). He'd slot right in at North and help them a lot. Not ever going to be a Dylan Grimes. But easily could play 100 games for a team without that high end KPD.
