I've said it before and I'll say it again. We've finally addressed an issue by adding a Willo, but we need to go further and get a Macca, a Thommo or a Johnno. No football team is complete without a few of those names in it. Jordy, Tay, Adz, Brodie, Jaidyn, etc.. these names just aren't enough to appease the footy gods.

Can we at least start calling Langdon Thommo?

It was hard to find info on the coverage for it. The AFL site says Fox will broadcast it but no radio coverage. I don't know how accurate the article was.

A lot of the discussion assumes we have a spot but as I understand it, that spot is contingent upon Dunn being placed on the LTI list meaning he can't return this year, or a decision being made on Murray. Has there been any word from the club on either of those options?

At least four AFL clubs are vying for Eastern Ranges ball-winner Cody Hirst less than two weeks out from the mid-season draft.
Foxfooty.com.au understands Sydney, Richmond, Melbourne and Carlton have all shown considerable interest, while at least two other clubs continue to monitor him closely.

AFL recruiters say Hirst would have almost certainly been drafted last year had it not been for knee and collarbone injuries that ruled him out for the majority of the season.

We’d be keeping Murray if it was say a two year penalty anyway.

If we’re just getting an odd nod to fill a spot then, does it really matter?

God knows whose holding it up. It may even be the Murray camp. There's been complaints that recreational drugs share the same categorisation as other performance enhancers, maybe they're delaying to see if there is any movement or any other test cases to act as a precedent.
