Bombers have no defenders for 6 weeks, with Ridley and Reid always injured...

...so they draft 1 x ruckman and 3 x forwards.

Always interesting seeing new players come in. The particulars of who is not something to get worked up over. We'll find out over time whether they're any good, to pretend we know now is silly. Is May a better option than Howes or Steele? No idea, so not bothered as to which we took.

Mid season draft especially is more of a long shot. We've had pretty good success though, with two real hits and others who have at least played senior footy.

The types we took seem ok. A contested marking KPF and a pacey forward/mid. Can do with more of both.

Moore or Frampton go down it will be an issue.

Were there any decent ready to play key defenders available? If there were you'd think Bombers would have picked them. They need about 3.

BTW, very happy with the Howes selection. Seems like a ripping guy and looks to be a Pies man too.

What I have seen, multiple times with my own eyes this year is Essendon serving up dog turd on a weekly basis

Why was it obvious we were targeting tall players and why was it obvious we were chasing mature players that could play multiple positions?

Look at the best players drafted in MSD and none are KPP. Cooper Sherman for StK closet and he's only 193cm
