His first season was fantastic, and we all thought we had a good one.Re Stephenson - it’s tantalising if we think he can reproduce his 2018 and (half of) 2019 form. And I understand the argument about him maturing.
But Port, who are not exactly flying, had the chance to add him and did not - as recently as early this year. Has his VFL form really made the difference, in a relatively short period of time?
It doesn’t quite add up to me, but bringing him back could be one helluva redemption story. And we love our big stories at the Pies. I’m ready for another one.
The betting thing really derailed his career, after which we all thought we should have drafted Naughton, who was a Pies fan.
I think Dekka picked on the "best available" principle, when we really needed a key forward.
Stevo's talent hasn't disappeared - it gets down to whether he has the maturity and desire to get back.
Risky? Yes.
Worth the risk? Maybe.
