Don't mind it. Everyone has the same rules to deal with.

Yep, makes you feel good BUT what changed from the 2018 when everyone passed on him - was it just the injury to Grigg, was it his WAFL form.
Apparently, part of the reason was Stack.
Seems Pickett had been a huge influence on it, and when he arrived at Richmond he raved about him for his mentoring and guidance...So the Richmond recruiters gave him a closer look...They already knew he was a good player, but the character side of things added to his value (and probably countered the perceived negatives about him) enough to push him over the line.

Was Pickett there when your pick was available?
Certainly a heart warming yarn.
Pickett was from the SW, played at South Freo.
Stack was from Northam, so played Colts for Perth. Be related to Neon Leon & the Hills.
Both the Pickett & Stack familys have had multiple WAFL players.
I also hate mid season list changes, I dont like drafts, trades, or any of the suggested proposals. Manage your list over the off season and if need be extend the list by 4 rookie spots for insurance cover.I detest mid-season list changes of any sort. But the rules are the same for everyone, so its not unfair to AFL clubs.
To state league clubes who might lose a premiership because a player or two they were relying on got poached mid-year, it is blatantly unfair. They end up paying the price for another team's bad luck or poor choices.
