- Melbourne ...HELLO i mean how easy?
OK well i know it is now officially the second half of the season but i am going to give u a quick run down of season 2001 so far, for the melbourne football club.
ok well the ansett cup should best be forgotten cos basically we were crap. i mean seriously, it was shocking except for a regulation win against Freo. i mean come on they r just pathetic. so onto rd 1. we played richmond and everyone thought that we were going to do well, but in usual fashion melbourne let all the punters down and lost. YAY we all thought, 1999 all over again. so we braced ourselves in for a long year, as the guys were bracing themselves for a long trip to the depths of hell. or in laymans terms ADELAIDE. it was for the rd2 clash against the Crows. And for me it would be one of the few precious times i will see the guys play this year. i had been preparing myself for this since we got knocked out of the ansett cup. i was ready.......or was I? the first half was amazing and everyone was saying "how much melbourne?" seriously we thought that we were going to kick arse. BUT (u see in any good story there is always a but. or a butt, whichever way u look at it
) the 3rd quarter was pathetic, adelaide went beserk and got back into the game. suddenly all that rubbishing of the adelaide supporters was on its way back to haunt us. *shudders at the thought* it was a game of many tales Schwarta got gouged by his adelaide opponent, and then ran out of puff in mid way through the 2nd quarter. lugging that fat arse around takes its toll on u apparently. (see there is that other butt ) anyhoo the only part u need to know is that we managed to hang on to win by 3 points, thanxs to ballet boy Chell and fat arse Schwarta. round 3 and it was the Cats @ the G on easter monday (yum yum choccies
) we scrapped thorugh by 18 points, and it wasnt a good game. Schwarta was insistent on calling a Geelong player a cocconut and as a result, and at the instruction of his mother, apologised to the player, and all was forgiven. he was grounded for a month with no beer
