Midfield 2022- 4 locks + ??

I just hope VTB see’s a bit of himself in Stocker (que the deviate replies)
And hopefully Stocker spends the summer watching VTB highlights
What I’m trying to say is….get Stocker in the guts!

I like the size of the midfielders that you've outlined Who all have genuine height/weight apart from Fisher
whereas Murphy Gibbons,Ramsay and SPS [all > 180 cm ] it seems that Voss likes the bigger types who have the physicality to break tackles and stick them as well

It's not the world's most balanced midfield but it looks to me that's where the strength of the list is and it will fit in with what Voss says will be his focus.

I'd much rather have a side like that for finals than a smaller quicker unit.

I'd say Voss looks most like Cottrell.

I can see us playing finals but as you said we probably need a good run with injuries or at leas a lift in intensity from our reserve players.

Really there are only 3 variables preventing us from making finals:
1) Strategy - Can we coherently defend? Can we play a sustainable gameplan? Can we be flexible and adaptable?
2) Injuries - Can Russell work his magic and keep the likes of Charlie, Cunners, McGovern and Marchbank on the park?
3) Midfield - Will the new recruits make our midfield competitive? Cripps/Kennedy/Walsh/Cerra/Hewett looks good to me, although it does lack pace.

The rest of the team really should be ready for finals:
-We're of the right age
-Our Spine is awesome, Jones/Weiters at one end ... McKay/Charlie at the other. Is there a better FB/CHB/CHF/FF quartet in the league?
-We have quality on the flanks: HBF with Saad/Williams/Doch ... HFF with Martin/Fisher
