We will remain shit at stoppages this year then and will look horribly slow on the spread. If he can’t see that midfield mix is shocking then what hope have we got.Comments by Yze in the recent interview:
Highly talented midfield of Hopper Taranto, Prestia, Ross. Looking for improvement spike in stoppage, should be better at stoppage, we're potent around stoppage and clearance. Exposure to Lalor, Smillie, Hotton, Cummings. Younger players playing wings, high half forward.
Seems like we're sticking with the current 4 and looking to improve their stoppage output.
Hopefully some speed on the wings and high forwards but no wholesale changes.
Last season we compounded the slow mids with slow wings and high half forwards with guys like Tresize, Ross, McIntosh and Dow. If we instead balance with speed it could work.We will remain shit at stoppages this year then and will look horribly slow on the spread. But he also said we would be playing both the young guys more and playing a more dynamic style.Comments by Yze in the recent interview:

The coach has to be mindful that 2004/2005 recruits are not burnt out or injured when playing while their bodies become hardened for AFL.We will remain shit at stoppages this year then and will look horribly slow on the spread. Absolutely! The coach has to be mindful that 2004/2005 recruits are not burnt out or injured when playing while their bodies become hardened for AFL.
They are all retired except PendleburyThe coach has to be mindful that 2004/2005 recruits are not burnt out or injured when playing while their bodies become hardened for AFL.
those guys are nearly dead by now.The coach has to be mindful that 2004/2005 recruits are not burnt out or injured when playing while their bodies become hardened for AFL.
Tresize ran 15+ kms one game. av speed of 9.3km/h vs Carlton. McIntosh ran 14kms a game on the wing. ~ we like a runner on the wing. .Last season we compounded the slow mids with slow wings and high half forwards with guys like Tresize, Ross, McIntosh and Dow. its not the stoppage output I'm concerned about. its the speed and hack kicks.Comments by Yze in the recent interview:

Yeah we have the worst midfield in the comp for score involvements.its not the stoppage output I'm concerned about. its the speed and hack kicks.
Not sure if this got posted anywhere already but I thought it was an interesting take on the tigers current list.
Just quietly, "OUZAI" knows we dont have an option until the kids come up to speed.Yeah we have the worst midfield in the comp for score involvements.
