FREMANTLE coach Mark Harvey admits key midfielders David Mundy and Stephen Hill have not had ideal pre-season campaigns, but he is confident the pair will find form quickly ahead of round one.
Mundy has been restricted by groin tightness this pre-season, while Hill has been on a restricted program since returning from the Christmas break after experiencing shin soreness.
Is it just me or is this the first time they have admitted that there is something wrong with Mundy? They have always just said he is on an individual program. Even though I still believe we can finish in the top 8, this has been a very bad pre-season.

Not kidding there. What is the story with Fyfe? Was listening to a podcast for dream teams. They mentioned Fyfe was injured and very doubtful for start of season.

very few of our midfielders have had a good pre season. Barlow Mundy ibbottson Fyfe Hill Deboer and Roberton all appear to have had bad pre seasons. What is going on?

Will make it very hard to achieve last seasons results. We might be very disappointed with early results

It would seem our fitness staff has stuffed up???????

How long has Fyfe been missing training? Because I'm not sure if I'd class him as having a particularly bad preseason. All the early reports stressed that he was doing copious amounts of laps to build his tank.

He might have missed a bit recently but I'm hopeful that the fitness base he built up earlier will hold him in good stead.

He was sick for a while but trained the two times I was there, over a two week period. He looks ripped it must be said

Secrets and Lies, that's how I'd describe the 10/11 preseason from our club.

The amount of bulldust and withheld info has been extraordinary and to be quite honest, baffling. There's no real need for it.

I remember reading that Scott took a fitness coach with him to the Cats, is it possible that it's related?
It's a longer season yes, but if other teams are injury free it puts our players a few weeks behind and playing catchup or even worse nursing injuries from rnd 1. I'll be happy if we get to rnd 6 with a few wins under our belt.

Likewise, I'm pretty sure DeBoer's hammy is just a ruse to avoid the possibility of him killing any of his own teammates during training drills.

Hill,Mundy,Roberton,Fyfe,Sibo,Shepherd were all part of the main squad this morning
De Boer still running laps although his were a full on sprint with a rest break as opposed to the normal 1/2 paced jog

Mzungu better watch out for his dreads then ;)
Did Balla ever cop a reprimand for that hair pull on O'Brien? I remember vividly one year Fraser Gehrig using Mundy's head as a speedball with his hair and nout came of it. Gotta love consistency AFL :thumbsu::rolleyes:

Yep definitely a fine. $900 I think. Pretty sure he copped the same for pinching GAblett's bootius maximus.

Wonder who and what he'll target this year?
At least we know he wont be pulling Dal Santo ...he would struggle to find anything big enough to grap a hold of.
