Okay, what exactly does Kirk do?

He is the Dirk Kuyt of the AFL. Except that Kuyt actually scores some times.

The similarities are uncanny

Kirk is a hard in and under player. A fantastic finals footballer. Can't believe you dont rate Kirk. He was a few votes away from a Norm smith (behind embers). Almost carried them over the line that day

Kirk career: 1 All Australian, 2 B&F and 2 runner ups...not bad for someone who came off the rookie list.

Who would i choose out of Kerr and Kirk?

Kerr easily. He is younger and if he finds some consistency, he could be putting charlie around his neck...

See what I meant was Kirk is a consistently average footballer, no matter what he always will work hard and put his body on the line and there's nothing else. The word almost sums him up perfectly.

With Kerr I think he has been a consistently brilliant footballer since his debut, its only this year that he performed shit house and I would say his shit house season was on par with Kirk's season.

Let's look at the stats:

Goals: 9
Goal assists: 1.8 (19 in total)
Goal contributed: 0.8 (28 in total)

Kerr:
Games: 11
Ave disposals: 23.7
Goals: 6
Goal assists: 0.6 (6 in total)
Goal contributed: 1.1 (12 in total)

We all know when Kerr is on his best there are a couple (if any) that can match his brilliance, but when he had his average year he still matches up well with Kirk. So I dont think Kerr's consistency is a problem. Ofcourse this doesnt include his attitude/brainfades.

Ok. I'll choose to ignore the obvious flaws in your arguments and look at the plethora of positives that the WCE have. Also my boss is getting angry at seeing me alt Tab every time he walks in.

To be honest i like Hurn and think he will play many games for the WCE.

Shuey will obviously win the rising star and this is as they say "without a doubt"

Just thought I'd bump this and say that Hurn, without a doubt, had a break out year, highlighted by his 31 disposal game at 94% efficiency on the weekend.

And Art OF war, at least Shuey is still eligible next year

Doesn't have the skills for AFL. He can have all the grunt, persistence, and endeavour in the world but if he doesn't have the skills he'll find it hard.

In that main group I have 7 guys who I think will be guns. Cockie's just not on the same level as them. The back up group play other positions as well.

He might prove everyone wrong and be a David Rodan but my gut feel is he won't make it. I expect him to give it a red hot go from what I've seen of him. He can get the footy. He's a natural footballer. Just doesn't have the finesse to play top level. I think.

I have my doubts about mcGinnity as well.

Honestly forgot - that's how much he's on my radar. Looking at those top seven, priddis will find it hard to get a game. He's a clearance specialist and can't play anywhere else.

I've seen both Ebert and Swift's extraction skills so I'm pretty confident Priddis will be made redundant within 3 seasons.
