I thought we were really down most of the night.
I thought King played his best for the year tonight, all be it that the umpires ruled against some times , he really controlled the centre bounces early yet it was the St's mid's that sharked all the ball.They seemed to be waiting for King to be beaten as mostly they played behind him and when King won the tap it went down the throat of Ball and company. Really , as maddening as the umps were, we blew it the first quarter letting them it to the game and then basically set them up to dominate the game.By the end of the second quarter we were all over the shop.In a way this shows how far we have come, to play that bad and still come back and win.Top stuff but didnt need it to be so hard.
The other thing was do any of these guys talk, how many times do we have to be tackled from behind before somebody tells them their hot or better still block the tackle. There was a little bit to much running off to create options(re: cheep kicks) and not enough protection of the ball carrier.
The St's are a very good side with quality mid's so it may be they just pressured us into mistakes, plenty of room to better yet, hmm bit of a positive is it not.
