Midfield query

Hi guys, I'm doing another midfield comparison thread for the main board, I'm trying to select the top 5 for each club but I'm having some troubles with some of the teams. With Sydney I'm really having problems deciding who are your top 5, can anyone help please?

Defintely Goodes, Kirk, Bolton, Buchanan. More than likely Fosdyke after that.

Assuming rucks are excluded.
Bolton, Goodes & Kirk are clearly top 3.
Then 2 from Ablett, Buchanan, Crouch, Fosdike, Mathews & McVeigh depending on match ups.
IMO the 'best 2' would be Ablett & Buchanan.

I'm wary of the error stat. Seems that the better you are, or the more integral you are to the play, the higher your error stats become. All the premier ball winners and go-to forwards seem to get high figures, and Jude is certainly a huge part of our engine room.

FWIW we have 7 players in the top 31 for errors. But those players are Barry Hall (1st), Adam Goodes(7th), Jude(8th), Luke Ablett(20th), Amon Buchanan(21st), Ryan O'Keefe(31st), and Jollly(24th). And they're in there with Pavlich, Hodge, Davey, Cameron Bruce, Brad Johnson, Daniel Kerr and their ilk. Pretty illustrious company.

I prefer to look at the tackling, clearances and 1%ers really.

You're spot on! the %1ers are almost always underrated.

goodes, kirk, bolton (despite the GF misses), definitely malceski, he might even captain them one day, is a class act, and buchanan...ablett and mcveigh close behind, ben matthews will be lucky to finish the season in the top 22
