You will lose every week in H2H for the first 10 weeks and you will be so far off the overall that you would need a telescope to see the leaders. It's achievable but you won't win anything.

Everyone. I find it to be half a player too much. 5 Seems to take away from the rest of your team and you are trying to scrimp and save elsewhere. Especially up forward where you need to spend heavily.

Its what I have as well, so your mid set up is identical to mine, the problem is with the rest of the field lol

not if you choose your rookies and where they are with any luck, everyone will have 8-10 rookies on the field + the balance of mid-pricers, Looney not playing Rd1 or at least being underdone will cause big re-shuffles for the majority. For me its a matter of choosing the ones with the best Job security as well as scoring potential. All rookies have an element of risk.

The year before impromptu won, he started with 0 Premiums & 8 rookie mids and still finished in the top ~800.

I vaguely recall that I was in striking distance and was in the top 2,000 all year.

Yeah but that was before the sub rule. Forget about it now.

Having said that I had a pretty solid year in 2011 will heaps of rookies all over the field, but last year was pretty poor. Maybe they weren't as good as previous crop or just kept getting the vest. I dont have the stats to back it up but I think in the first year the vest was going to more senior player rather than rookies, I guess the coaches thought an experienced player would have a better chance at impacting a game coming on later, but that trend changed last year.

The only issue is it feels like my forward/defense is a touch weaker.

Read somewhere (can;t remember where) the point that 5 Super Premium Mid's (incl Capt) are worth around 750points consistently.

That's a fair amount of point towards your total for less than a qtr of your scoring players.

Gone with Ablett/Kennedy/Murphy/Fyfe/Rich and 5 rooks. Don't like the Forward Rookies, so I've compromised my mids for some extra cash for the forwards.

I did same thing really, gone ablett/pendles/jpk/McLean/mundy

Just so I can reduce the forward rookies, as it is hard to find any that could be relevant to supercoach in 2013.

5* 650k + 100k for ablett = 3350k or ~33% of your cash.

Nailed it. 750 pts is probably about a third of what you want to score each week to do really well (or less, with the increase in mids), so it actually works out less valuable this year.
