A few mids I'd look at trading in:

I'd trade our first pick for Dylan Shiel in a heartbeat, but I don't think it would be enough especially because he's contracted.

Jono O'Rourke. Reminds me of a young Trent Cotchin.
Say we have pick 4, I'd give that for O'Rourke, GWS' end of first round compo and second rounder.

I also don't mind Bird. Disagree that his disposal is poor. Kicked a beautiful goal on Thursday night.

I'd also be keen on Dean Towers from Sydney if we could get him cheap (like PSD cheap) or Jarryd Lyons from Adelaide.

We need better players all over the park. Not completely sold on Griffiths, Vickery and Elton as KPFs which once again leaves only Jack as proven.

Exact same thing with defenders with only Rance the one I have absolute faith in. Astbury, Grimes and Chaplin all have injury or form concerns.

For this reason I have no issues if we take one of the elite KPP prospects. This year's top 10 is looking like a good one for talls.

A bit of a controversial one but if we finish ~14-16 is it worth trading pick 3-5 for a quality player like Melbourne did with Tyson? I don't think Tom Mitchell is attainable but there are others that are. Gold Coast would be the club to target as they still need to cull their list to fit within the lower salary cap and player limits they have (moving to the same as all other clubs excluding GWS). Not sure the exact player worth targeting but a Dion Prestia-type would be ideal. 51 games, 21 years old and a proven midfielder.

Now, I am pretty confident Prestia won't be available and GWS also need to cull their list, albeit a little less. Not sure who here should be a target but surely for an early pick Toby Greene would be worth it. GWS are pretty full of key position players but may trade the early pick on to get an established KPD.

Ambitious, but why not?

Now, for the trade bait; how about Tyronne Vickery and pushing him to Carlton? We may need to play him into form to move him for something valuable (late first rounder at worst). If he was to be traded I think anything less than first round is not worth it as his versatility is useful but he does need to realise what he is capable of (i.e. 40 goals a year)

Actually wouldn't mind this recruit.. TBH haven't seen much of him lately with him playing solely in the NEAFL.. but from his North Ballarat days he was a good line breaker that played HBF/WING.. IIRC he won the VFL rising star before being drafted to the Swans as a late first rounder...

I think it's garbage saying we don't have a midfield. The starting mids should be Cotchin/Deledio/Martin, not f****** Grigg/Thomas/Cotchin. Martin went into the middle for the first time in the 3rd quarter and got a clear centre clearance at his first go. Deledio and Conca at least provided a contest when they played there in the second half.
Midfield should only be Cotchin/Deledio/Martin/Conca/Ellis/Miles/Vlastuin.
Jackson on a wing as he runs all day and chases.
Would rather give games to McIntosh and O'Hanlon on a wing than Grigg.
Thomas delisted. WTF were we thinking?
No Houli either as he doesn't chase, tackle and his kicking is horrendous

Looking at that agree we need to look at drafting more pure midfielders unless Durdin or Wright are available with our first pick.
I should clarify that when I say we have no midfield I mean a complete midfield. We need heaps more for rotations in all positions. Outside runners, insiders and hybrids.

Tobt Greene cant kick to save himself and should avoided at all costs.

Forwards please. Big or small - we have one good forward right now, and it's Jack. We've got enough mids, the issues down there are with the gameplan and not having any decent forwards to deliver to.
