What is the story with Mike Sheehan ? I am from WA and only get to see him on Talking Footy. Is he as big a dickhead as he appears on that show? I don't have the "pleasure" of seeing his newspaper articles. He seems to be an arrogant, egotistical Know it all to me from what I have seen. What do the rest of you think ? I reckon TF would be 500% better without the the tosser. Who does he support, is it Melbourne?

ArdenSt

I dont know know who Mike "shithead" Sheahan
supports, but I can tell you right now it ain't Collingwoood.

But if I had to guess, I would say either the Dees or the Bombers, since he never seems to bag either of them. (Mind you, that could be because their at the top end of the ladder!)

You've summed him up beautifully.

The guy's an even more opinionated, know-all moron in his paper.

He has never come up with 1 decent idea in his life.

There isn't a brain in the w***er's head.

Yes the man is a w***er and he is a Melbourne supporter! He wrote an artcle yesterday saying how great the Dees are playing and how well they've done to get third-which is true and I have no problem with that, but in a second column on his page he slammed North for having such an easy draw (as if they've got anything to do with it!) only playing Carlton and Essendon once and StKilda twice and yet guess which other team had a draw like this? Yes, Melbourne!!! It was breathtakingly brazen bias but you get used to him doing that!!!

He is a Melbourne supporter.

He used to like Collingwood.

It's only really been since Eddie took over that he has turned on us.

Under McAlister and Rose he used to get leaked information from board level which obviously kept him happy. Since Eddie has taken over there are no more informers on the board. This has resulted in Mike not getting his inside stories. Thus he now writes stories about us that are negative.

Groucho, Mike Sheahan drives me nuts but he does have a point about North's easy draw. Considering that they are the reigning world champions (thought I'd take a little liberty with that Yankee style) they had a much better draw than Collingwood (wooden spooners). How is that fair? BTW I am not a Collingwood fan so I am not griping about that either.

Joel,

What a stupid thing to ask. As if anyone likes the ******ed little terd!

Mike Sheahan knows 4/5's of F.A. about football!

For anyone who does not read his drivel consider yourself well read on footy.

The crap he goes on with on Talking Footy is rational and sensible when comparing it with his column in the Herald Sun.

Sheahan is typical of most journalists in the media who have not played the game at the highest level. He goes on and on about cartain pet players whom he deems worthy or not worthy of being in a particular team etc.
These are topics which Sheahan has no idea in what he is talking about and should stay clear!

Can't wait for tomorrows diatribe - he's always good for a chuckle around the breakfast table!

oh_my_hat,
Yes I would agree that North's draw has been soft, but my point is that so has Melbourne's, and Sheahan ,on the same page, praises one team for their achievements and slams the other for having an easy draw. Why not slam Melbourne too? Just by the by but the North board would, in a second, agree to play Essendon and Carlton twice every year but this stupid compromised draw with the "blockbuster" mentality means that weaker teams with big followings, like Collingwood over the last few years, are always going to have tough draws. Do away with the blockbusters and let teams like North get some of the home team action against the big boys.

Could not agree more Groucho.

Watch for this in the sun in a couple of weeks. Sheahan will talk about how the Kangaroos average attendances are down, the stupid twit won't mention that the draw is lopsided and that the Kangaroos have only played two of the top 8 twice, Melbourne and Geelong averaging over 30,000 a game for these four games.

Please we would love more "BLOCKBUSTER GAMES", and a harder draw mike. This season has been so uneventful.

So next time you read mike's articles, remember he is writing them from the slopes of Mt Hotham.

Mike was here in Perth for Guy McKenna's media conference, but please - someone get him out of WA! We dont want him

Hey Groucho,

There is a reason why Essendon, Carlton and Collingwood play a few games against each other each year. It's called, HUGE CROWDS!! - meaning, big bucks for the AFL!

Yes CJ I understand that. But if the draw is already compromised by a 22 round season and then further compromised by certain teams HAVING to play each other twice each season then I wish stupid newspaper columnists would stop whinging about easy draws!

I hate shehan too but thr draw has (by accident) favoured certain teams. I strongly assert that from third down to adelaide there isn't much between the teams, and the relative placings relate directly to who has played Essendon, Carlton and St Kilda (sorry) twice. The teams which miss out will be stiff and the finals games between 3rd to 8th can easily go either way. Richmond or Hawthorn will miss out but, like the others, have beaten a majority of the others. And had soem stupid losses, I might add.

Groucho,

I totally agree with you. Especially about "the w***er" writing crap articals. But, Don't forget that the AFL is a business and they do have to make money or else there wouldn't be an AFL competition. I mean, How many other Victorian and non-Victorian teams do you know that can draw crowds like the Bombers, Blues and Magpies? Well, I can tell you right now, I can't think of any. If you or anybody else can then your doing better than me!!!

After posting that message, I just realised that it sounds like I'm saying that if it was not because of Collingwood, Essendon or Carlton then the whole competion would fold.

It is not what I'm saying at all and I do apologise if anyone see's it that way!!

CJ. fix up your spelling mistakes dude! And CJ the question where I asked "if anyone liked him" was a retorical question.

Joel,

How about you read other peoples postings and see if they also have made spelling mistakes. I think you will find that they have. Why do you tell them to "fix their spelling mistakes" as well!!

Did I make any mistakes this posting??

Grendel,

I'm not paranoid. Actually, I could't care less if I do make a typo! If someone doesn't understand something they only have to leave a posting saying so!!

I think you will find that it is just Joel trying to 'big note' himself since he left a posting on Nick's Collingwood BB saying that he got 94% in an English exam!

See the w***er Sheahan, nearly cry on "Talking Footy" just because Yze and White did not make the All-Australian Team.

Hope Melbourne go out in straight sets just to piss him off.

Nearly as bad as a Collingwood Supporter.

Mik(arey) Sheehan and S(pam) Newman stay in business because you either like them or hate them, but you still read or watch.

I nearly stayed up on monday night to watch 'talking garbage' just to get annoyed that he didn't acknowledge the Hawks.

Then I realised I was being stipid and went to bed for some well-earned rest

'If you ignore them, they will go'

Rooboy

It's one thing for you to bag us magpie supporters, But don't you ****ing dare compare us to shithead Sheahan!!
