11-50 is out this evening

Libba jnr is #39

Wilbur and Griff no where to be seen so far so Griff will be top 10 but will Wilbur???

I will put the link up soon but just thought once again Griff is being undervalued by the other so called experts

Griffen is 9th. Lower than Cloke, Sandilands and Fyfe.

Minson didn't get a guernsey.

I don't even know what to say if someone thinks Aaron Sandilands is a better player than Joel Selwood.

Remember, it's what he thinks the players will be ranked like by the end of the year.

But yes it's a bit of a dog's breakfast. Libba at #39? Behind Zaharakis and Michael Johnson

Zaharakis better than Libba? On the evidence of the last year Liberatore's proved a much better player than Zaharakis.
Small club syndrome strikes again, although like anyone gives a rat's toss about what Sheahan has to say anymore.

I agree dogwatch, Mike Sheehan is one of the most inconsequential people associated with the AFL. Not an analytical journalist, just someone who tries to be controversial as his skills do not extend beyond that.

Why do people get upset about this stuff? It's just one man's ramblings designed to sell papers/subscriptions in the pre-season.
True, but you could also ask why people always rush to stand up as soon as the plane touches down only to stay exactly where they just stood for another 5 minutes waiting for anyone to actually move. It happens, always has and probably always will.

The reigning AA ruckman not in the top 50, and the game's best contested player at #39?

I think Griff around #10 is fair - and I agree with the commentators above that rate both Cloke & Roughead ahead of Franklin.

I honestly wouldn't swap Griffen for any other midfielder in the comp except for Ablett.

There is no way that Travis Cloke is in the Top 10 players in the competition.

Interesting, they seem to be predicting that Fyfe will go past Griffen and Danger will have a massive year.
I think Griff will still outperform some of those other midfielders like he did this year.

Talking up Aaron Sandilands is an example of the phenomenon (psychologists probably have a name for it) whereby you keep talking something up, even if it proves to be a dud, because you don't want egg on your face for not having recognised a dud from the outset. Not that Sandilands is a total squib, but he's nowhere near as influential as people think- you only have to watch him lumbering around with a perpetual foot problem, he doesn't actually do much.

Stevie J is massively underrated, maybe they take away credit points from him because he goes to the tribunal every year. Imo he is at the same level as Dane Swan and Jobe Watson.

Edit: Imo he is at the same level as Gary Ablett ... in the GF with 10 minutes to go and down by 5 points. Who would you pick Dane Swan, Jobe Watson or Stevie J? As I stated earlier Stevie J at 23 is ridiculous. He is easily top 10, I'd go top 5.

This article written by Murph sums up my thoughts about my favourite player not in red, white and blue.
