At the conclusion of round 5 both Queensland teams sit alone atop the ladder undefeated. The first time in the history of the game that this has happened.

For the national competition to remain strong we need more talent coming from the northern states, particularly Queensland. It’s good to see that we may be entering a golden age for the game in Qld which will hopefully only boost participation further and see us producing more and more talent for the league for years to come. So here is to the Lions and the Suns and our academies. Please post your support and well wishes.

Suns have beaten the 4 of the bottom 5 teams from last year, will play the other next week. What sort of AFL voodoo fixturing is this? Some others have played 3 top 4 teams (from 2024).

And we have done what good teams should do, which is beat those particular teams.

You are right, we have our tough run coming up, I don't think we are a top 2 team but I think we settle around 7-8.

We did finish in the bottom 6 last year which gives us an easier fixture. Can thank your man Jack Higgins for that.

Might be one of the great all-time mozzes here. The very next week one academy rorter gets eviscerated by a Vic team with the oldest list of all time, and the other academy rorter is getting spanked by a Vic team with one of the worst lists.
