Toast Milestone Men vs Richmond - Ratugolea & Higgins

Unless there's an unexpected change or 2 when the final team is announced, this week we'll see another couple of hoopsters run out for milestone matches

Our 3rd selection and pick 43 in the 2016 draft, this week will see Esava Ratugolea run out for game #50. He's game time has long been shared between forward line duties and time in the ruck, though most of his highlights have come from general play when he's had the opportunity to run & jump in attempts for mark of the year - with some impressive results when he sticks the mark

He's also had to battle injury concerns early in his career when he broke his lower leg just 8 games into his senior career and unfortunately an incident at training earlier this year saw him re-fracture the leg in the same spot but thankfully didn't keep him out as long this time

And after an indifferent season to date, things looked to have turned a positive corner against Fremantle last week, so here's to seeing him build upon the form he showed in what's a big week for Ratugolea - re-signs for 2 further seasons in the hoops, turns 23 on Saturday and then game #50 on Sunday

Our other milestone man this week is a former Falcon who returned home ahead of this season and on Sunday will play game #250 - Shaun Higgins

It's fair to say that the form we've seen from Higgins isn't what the fans have wanted to see and going out on a limb in that the player may also not have been totally satisfied with their form earlier this season; though there's been some positive signs over recent weeks

Drafted at pick #11 by the Western Bulldogs, it was something of a slow burn earlier in his career where his class wasn't in doubt but questions were asked if he's body would hold up to AFL as he struggled with injuries, particularly during his time with the Bulldogs

A change of clubs to North seemed to be the positive change the required and where he played the best football of his career - though a late season resurgence of form would be appreciated by those cheering on the blue & white hoops

And after 15 seasons with 129 games for the Bulldogs, 108 for North and in his 13th game in the hoops, Higgins will reach the 250 milestone

Congrats to both players

imo I think Sav is getting dropped. No 50th video for him which you'd expect. Shame

Unless they're doing something tomorrow or maybe Saturday for his birthday - the Higgins video only went up today

Besides, this was part of the clubs team announcement "Esava Ratugolea is also set to reach a milestone and play his 50th AFL game."
