Thought I'd have a bit of a look at who has recently hit a milestone game (underlined, I've added 1 game and 25 games to the usual 50, 100, 150 etc.) and who is coming up (italics). I'll update the OP after each round. Let me know if I've missed any. Is that right, only Parnell and Max debuted since R12 last year?

Current to R23.

250 for Tex this weekend.
50 for Sholl (if he doesn't get left hanging on 49 like McHenry was for the first 3 games of this year)

99 for Dawson, keen to see him raise the bat next week.
A home match with a high probability of a win is perfect for the Texan. Lets not mess it up. Please.

Best milestone game ever by a Crow with Tex kicking 10? Hard to see anyone doing better with a similar amount of game impact.

Noticed that 3 of the 4 players around the 100 game mark are imports from other clubs. Made me wonder how much 'indigenous Crow' raised talent has hit the 100 mark of late.
Most recent I could find was Jake Kelly, who hit 100 in R11 2021. Played out the season and moved to Ess.
Rory Atkins played his 100th for us in R3 2020, but only played one more that year before heading to GC.
Matt Crouch played 100th in R13 2019. Still with us, but not best 22.

That's 3 players in the past 5 1/2 seasons - as far as I can see no-one made that milestone in 2018.

ROB will hit it this year if he plays every H&A game. Murphy and Milera could in theory get there if we play 2 and 4 finals respectively.

With 33 H&A games in '23 and '24, Jones and Fogarty could get to 100 next year. So we could be looking at four or more 'all Crow' players ton up next year. Doedee too, if he stays.

Now here's the cool part - in our GF year (2017) we had 3 players hit that milestone - Luke Brown (R9), Jenkins (R11) and Laird (Prelim final).
Our 3 other stalwarts - Smith, Walker and Sloane hit that mark in 2016, 2015, and 2014 respectively.

IMO we're getting that list profile to around the benchmark of what a quality side should look like.

Well the Giants have a milestone man of their own to take the field against us:

I wonder how often a 250 game milestone player comes up against a 200 game milestone?

Enjoy your 250th Sloaney. I can't see you matching Tex's game for his 250th, but have a good one regardless.

Pretty amazing that Dawson is yet to even crack 100 games. Huge ceiling still.
I mean Rankine only passing the 50 games milestone this year too. Lots of footy left in him.

That number for Schoenberg surprised me. I can't believe he's over 50 games. I figured it would be less than that.

Some lower key ones.

It has its own thread I think but Tex is on 599 goals.
Rankine 92, Thilthorpe 43. Dawson's goal on Saturday was his 50th.

Keays is on 80 consecutive games, which is tied for 9th longest streak in AFC history (with McLeod and Rutten). By the end of the minor round he will be tied for 8th with Simon Goodwin on 83. Nobody has ever played 100 in a row for us - the podium is Scott Thompson 99, Ben Hart 98, Andrew McLeod 97. Eddie Betts did play exactly 100 consecutive games but hte first 14 of them were for Carlton.

Dawson has our second longest current streak - 65 consecutive games, 42 with us.

Not much to celebrate this season, but we had 3 debutants, 4 players get to 25 games, 6 players get to 50, 3 to 100 (assuming ROB fronts up this weekend) and 2 to 250.
Getting smashed in the head is probably not what McAdam had in mind for his 50th.

Next year we can also be looking at quite a few milestone games. Numbers include likely WC game.
Smith (247)
Crouch (143) - I'm guessing we'll give him another contract now.
Murphy (98)
Milera (96)
Doedee (82) - not sure when he is expected back if he signs on.
Fogarty (78)
Murray (46)
Thilthorpe (46)
Hinge (40)
Berry (39)
Soligo (37)
Rachele (34)
