Miller - Needs to be made a CHB

You don't play at CHF just because you think hes better there than at CHB.

Facts are hes not good enough for either at the minute, I'd have Newton and Bate ahead of him for CHF.

CHB is his only hope.

I think some of Miller's talent would be wasted having him play off CHB. Although we havent seen much of it, i htink he leads well at the footy and has great hands. He also covers a lot of territory for his size.

Personally l would play him at CHF, start him off there at the start of the year and see how he goes. There is no point people crappin on saying he cant play otherwise he wouldnt have been playing at the top level in the first place. Bailey obviously has a plan for him otherwise he wouldnt have kept him, so lets ride the off season out and see if he can come up with some of his great form a couple of years back. Also he is still only a young man, his got his last chance so lets give him a go. Im tippin if he kicks 4 -5 goals in the first couple of weeks a few of you will be sukin up his arse.:thumbsd::thumbsu:

Bailey needs to give him a good run in both possies before we he makes any decisions. We havent seen the best of Brad Miller yet.

Brad Millers only position is centre half forward. Even if he may be the most one-dimensional centre half forward in the history of the game. At least he knows how to present, then feed the handpass to the running midfielder. He has some use as a decoy forward, no use as a centre half back. However, If we can draft McEvoy with our 14th pick and develop him as a forward, then I think Miller should then be shown the door.

We cant show Miller the door for a youngster who has never played AFL before. Stick with him i say.

I actually wouldnt mind seeing how Dunn went in defence, some of his dashes through the midfield late last year were great.. I could see him as a hard running defender bit in the C.Cornes model

I saw miller play in defence and was smashed this year.. I'm not sure if he's worth keeping.Having said that, His problem being that from a young age he was groomed as a CHF by his father Nifty, who was then coach .Brad was taught to present and team instructions were look for Miller at CHF. That as I said, is his problem.

I'm very much in the CHF camp where Miller's concerned. People seem to forget just how good Miller was at CHF before his confidence was destroyed by Daniher's misguided attempt to turn him into a defender. He has played a couple of good games in defence, but he has generally struggle there.

As soon as Riley persisted with Miller in defence it was clear he wasn't the man to coach Melbourne. I'll be very disappointed in Bailey if he does the same.

Couldn't agree more...have always been a huge Miller fan when he's at CHF and used to tell my little brother (D's supporter) how much I rated him.

Before Clokey came on the scene for the Pies I would've taken him in a heartbeat...reminded me very much of a Craig Starcevich type when up and moving...although tougher...!

I couldn't believe that the Dees dumped Ferguson and kept Miller. Ferguson is one of the most fearless and talented players and definitely one of my faves. Miller isn't a defender. At best he is a centre half forward but even then he is completely one dimensional. His skills are not up to scratch and his decision making is appalling most of the time. Why do we always seems to back the average joe instead of insisting on excellence?

Ask DB. I'm sure there's a cunning plan behind it all.

Tall, strong and has the aerobic capacity to run with the likes of the Clokes, Pavlichs and Browns.

Frawley is our best hope of holding down a FB possie long term if he bulks up a bit, hes tall and very quick.

Let Rivers play the loose man role that Milburn plays so well at Geelong.

FB: -----, Frawley, ------
HB: ----, Miller, Rivers

They need to be the first three names down on the teamsheet with regards to our backline, the other three can be anyone of a lottery of youngsters (CJ, Bartram, Buckley, Bode etc.)

In regards to our forward line, Newton will be a long-term FF, with Bate or Garland to hold down CHF or vice versa. That isn't the worry IMO.

All great teams are built from the back.

Wheres Whelan?
