Miller will stay in.
He had a shocker but will play well against collingwood.
Lay off the bloke.
Millsy's in the side simply because there is no realistic alternative. Rarely does he ever play two valuable games side by side. We get a good game from him and then three average to stinking efforts and so the cycle goes. Clearly this is not what should be expected from a senior key forward. In ten matches you get 3 good games, 3 stinkers and 4 not worth writing home about. Apart from last year this been so throughout his career. He may play well against Collingwood but the cycle would continue. Get rid of him. I offer a graphic of his Ranking Points this year:

Hey, did you get hold of Tony Greig's coloured marker Clint?

Miller has kicked 11 goals and 13 points which demonstrates that he is not a good set shot.

Over the past 6 games Miller has averaged 11 possessions per game and 0.8 goals per game and he hasn't kicked a goal since round 7.

In round 5 Miller managed to play a full game of footy for a tidy return of 6 possessions, 0 goals and unbelievably 0 Supercoach points which arguably means that he actually would have contributed more to the Crows team than to the Dees on that day.

In round 9 he gave up 3 balls to the opposition in the first half inside our forward 50 that should have resulted in goals to the Demons. From memory all of them were in circumstances where there were 2 Demons against 1 opposition player and Miller managed to get the ball to the opposition player.

This is a guy who gets a game every week for the Dees which means that the committee believes that this effort is acceptable!!

Robbo on the other hand has played 4 games. He has kicked 10 goals at an average of 2.5 per game but he gets dropped - WHAT THE?

Peter German and Dean Bailey are both saying that Watts will play when his form says he is ready. Didn't Jack get 25 possessions last week and 22 this week for Casey? How is that not better than Millers form?

Why are we rewarding medocrity? I see that some people on this forum say that we have no other option? My grandma could contribute more than Miller did in round 5 and she is no longer of this world (bless her soul).

Get Robbo back in and give Jack a go and for crying out loud stop rewarding Miller's crap performances week in and week out and drop him back to Casey so he can find some form (if he has it in him).

As bad as Miller can be, we need him for structure. Even robbo can't be the focal point at CHF. Our midfield can't make good decisions and attempt good delivery to inferior sized targets. I'd like to see robbo back in to help take some attention off Miller, but I think Robbo would get pumped if Miller wasn't there.

Miller is not needed for structure if Butcher is around.

This is where MFC must draft Butcher to solve these problems.

You can see how important Pick 1 & Pick 2 is :D

Dude, you don't have to relate everything to Pick 1 and 2. There are more variables in football. You make it out as if I should be booking my flight and seat for the GF in 2 years, as if it is guaranteed. You are truely niave. Everyone knows your opinon, stop relating it to every thread on this board its frankly annoying.

I bow to you good sir.

Yeah, good post...but the spelling is "naive" :p

The problem with Miller is that he really is a barometer a lot of the times. If he has a poor game, we often do and if he does well, it normally does lift the team. The problem is that we'd much rather have a much more consistent and all-round better player having such influence.

So that's why we have only won one game this year, Miller's played 9 crap games and 1 half decent game. I agree, replace him with a better barometer because this one is broke!

Allow me to outline the rest of the season for Miller:

Rd 11. Does nothing – Coaches thoughts: Had a bad game, lets hope he lifts next week.

Rd 12. Does nothing – Coaches thoughts: This is becoming a trend we really need to look at this bloke.

Rd 13. Does nothing – Coaches thoughts: It’s been over a month since he did anything we may need to look at a trade, maybe we can get something for him from the Gold Coast.

Rd 14. Does nothing – Coaches thoughts: This guy just plainly sucks he needs to be dropped & delisted at the seasons end.

Rd 15. Does nothing – Coaches thoughts: Delist him, enough said.

Rd 16. Does nothing – Coaches thoughts: Why again didn’t we drop him last week – Delist him.

Rd 17. Does nothing – Coaches thoughts: Delist him.

Rd 18. Does nothing – Coaches thoughts: Delist him.

Rd 19. Does nothing – Coaches thoughts: Delist him.

Rd 20. Has a good game - Coaches thoughts: Well it’s just one good game he will never be the player we need him to be but maybe we can get a trade for him.

Rd 21. Has a blinder - Coaches thoughts: Now that’s exactly the type of player we want him to be. Great game, we should get a decent trade offer for him.

Rd 22. Has a blinder - Coaches thoughts: He has finally arrived, how can we possibly trade or delist him now, he is a gun. If he keeps this form up & has a good pre season he will tear the competition apart. Maintains spot on senior list.*

Dude, since every or most of the supporters are complaining about Miller's poor form, obviously Butcher could be the man to heal the pain. :thumbsu:
If you see Butcher and Watts both firing at FF, kicking bag loads of goals each week and on a winning streak towards the GF/premiership, together with Scully dominates in the midfield with Mclean, Jones, Blease, Morton, Grimes, Moloney etc, I can say that you will enjoy every moments of success both watching the matches as well as sharing the excitement on this bigfooty threads instead of finding it annoying :D

Welcome Pick 1 & 2 to MFC "Lock it in" :D

Nevertheless KTLK, I think we're all in agreement that it would be nice, at the VERY least, if you might expand your prodigious repetoire of conversation on this board to include at least one or two other subjects perhaps?
