If Milne is kicking 50+ per year, it doesn't matter what age he is. If he is kicking that many each year, you would keep him on the list until he is 40 (or older)

Agreed, but he wasn't on track for anywhere near 50 in the first half of the season. I thought he was finished at AFL level, but I'm happy he's proved me wrong.

Has been fantastic interstate this year, easily his best year in that regard.
And has saved his best games for the top opposition, minus the hawks and eagles game.
Second half of the year has been the best half year of his career:thumbsu:

Sad thing with Milne is even now he has to keep proving himself to keep the naysayers at arms reach. If he doesn't have an exceptional year next year most will be calling for his head. It's not right.

As long as a player is part of our best 22 then they shouldn't be cut.
Milne is so entrenched in the 22 it's not funny, as long he's serviceable why not keep him?

Based on the Koschitzke principle, as long as he scores at least one goal in three games he should be an automatic selection.
He has only failed to achieve this once (2006) and I blame Thommo for not dropping him back to reserves and thus increasing his motivation and his development ( Lyon did it later without exceeding the Kosi Principle ).
So far this season his three game minimum is 4.
