If he torrents, he'll never buy it, he'll be too into Minecraft to go back!

Basically the thing that makes Minecraft so good is that it lets your imagination come through. You just have to know the basics of build a lit area for the first night then go mine some minerals, out of all that you end up building houses/castles/minecarts, etc.

If you want some help, this guy has a good series of tutorials on youtube.

Or you can just use the creation mode and create whatever you choose.

There really aren't negatives, only that the MP requires people to make servers.

And no IAIA don't need anything, toomanyitems is useless with the creation switching mod. Already got myself the flymod again too.
 
Yeah get it. Have a look on youtube for some of the creations people have pulled off. Amazing.

Can sometimes take up hours on end but some days you just like to jump on for half an hour to finish certain things.

Sprites are always creative. Then there's castles, caves, mines, rollercoasters...

Just start something - it generally turns out different anyways. That's what's so great about this game.
 
Think I might recreate a famous building or structure perhaps Sydney Harbour Bridge. Already made a minecart track that goes from my hilltop house to bottom of my first mine at my first ever spawn point. Plan to branch the track off into different sections for more mining and transport. Any good 1.8 mods?

Hey Guys

Just kinda been lurking this thread - but huge AFL fan and a minecraft fan as well - so muchly so i built an AFL stadium just in time for the Grand Final.

Thought i would share and hope you guys enjoy.

Very nice final update.

Did you get around to checking out our world and putting anything into it? Or had a go at putting any touches onto the save file?
 
I did go and look around - i think yours is very cool and i can't wait to see it finished. I think yours is a more accurate build of an AFL Stadium, whereas mine is more loosely based on one :)

I didn't add to it as when i went on, no one was there, and didn't want to do anything that was not in the plan of things - you guys have done really well on it..

When are we going to see a vid from yours?
