In that video Jack moves his leg under where Will is about to step. Was Jack trying to trip Will when he saw he was about to step over him?? Will did raise his shoulders to lighten the impact. Clearly, if he wanted to "stomp" (what an emotive word - it was more like a "step") there would have been some damage to Jack's leg, but there was none.

(Is sydjackson related to KissStephanie? Similar style, different club)

Well there you go - you really are a moron after all!
Check again - i didn't say I was outraged. i said the decision taken by the MRP was outrageous.
Why would i be outraged - I am not related to keiron Jack.

Well, you're a little dense aren't you?

Nowhere did I say you were one of the outraged average dumb bogans. Was a general comment directed at the faux outrage in social media, by the illiterate masses.

However if you feel like it hit close to the bone, who am I to argue.

Minson did something clumsy.. I am shocked and appalled usually he's so graceful.

Stupid witch hunt. So far Wil is public enemy number 1 for a your mum joke and being a clumsy 100 kg ruckman. There have been far worse things done on the football field this year that have gone unnoticed than what Minson has been almost lynched for...

Nathan Buckley having his say for no particular reason...

http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/145375/default.aspx
COLLINGWOOD coach Nathan Buckley says the Match Review Panel needs to be looked at after the season in the wake of Tuesday night's AFL Tribunal decision to downgrade Will Minson's stomping charge.

The Western Bulldogs ruckman had his charge of stomping Sydney Swans midfielder Kieren Jack reduced from intentional to reckless misconduct, and consequently escaped suspension.

Man, I wish Sandow had some more awesome burns along those lines.
He'll get there, just needs to get more interview time. Dude has talent.

I absolutely cannot stand Barrett, weasly little headline chasing grub he is.

I can't stand Mark Robinson either but I have way more respect for him than Barrett.

The footy media really hasn't got that many journos that deserve respect. Seriously, Quayle and Stevens are about it. The rest generally are what you described Barrett as.

Good

Emma Quayle
Mark Stevens
Gerard Whately

Average
Rohan Connolly

Dreadful
Damian Barrett
Craig Hutchison
Caroline Wilson

NOT GUILTY......as charged (stepping on ..yes...not stomping)

SO ....now are the AFL going to charge every player for an elbow and push at every stoppage

footy is ****ed ..........not like it used to be

What appalling manners!
What could this thread possibly have to do with Chris Judd?
Manners? It's bigfooty!! Pot shots by anonymous people at other anonymous people is bread and butter. If you want a debate, then the AFL forum is for you. If you want to put your two bobs worth in on a team board, then you do so at the same risk I would on Carlton's board (although I might find a horse's head on my pillow if I was so foolish)

Makes me want to go an bait sydjackson on the Carltank board today...

Old news, but embarrassing thread guys.

At the 13 second mark of the side view, his knee is as high as his hip...being a 199 cm man, you'd expect his step to be around the 85-90 cm mark, yet even knowing full well there is a body below him, it comes almost straight down.

And, when he realised he was about to stand on the leg, he raised his shoulders?...rather than raising/extending his leg?? (Oh, that's right, it was "stuck".)

I can't for the life of me understand how his series of still shots helped, because his arm/shoulder started raising before his foot made contact with Jack's leg...clearly (if he is now aware of the pending 'impact', as per his statement) giving him time to move his foot!!

Does he feel bad he did it?...I have no doubt. But did he mean to do it?...Come on people, blinkers off.

Will really needs to work out his place in life...Sure, no-one wants to be a Lindsay Thomas-dirty-sulking-acting-type...but it's ok to be a Cam Mooney-type, sh1t-angry bloke on the field, but nice guy off it. You can't be worried about reputation points (in fact, I'd even argue by defending himself the last 3 occassions sh1t things have happened, he's lost a whole world of rep points...), you either want them - in which case you don't do any of the stupid cr@p that he keeps doing on field...or you don't care - in which case you stop trying to justify the unjustifiable.

EDIT: And, to make it relevant to our Carlton "friend"...surely we can all see similarities between Will and Judd?
Both clearly have complete brain snaps on field that simply happen (and who knows why?)...are they embarrassed? Yeah. Do they even know why they happen? Probably not...
...but white line fever is a funny animal.

Both cases, premeditated? no. Willful intent to hurt someone? don't think so. An angry, spiteful even, split second they would both want back? Oh, you bet...

Remember Chris Grant

Wasn't a tribunal decision... One of, if not the biggest travesty in sports history.

Doesn't change the fact that both the review panel and tribunal this year have made some fundamentally wrong decisions. The system is the worst it's ever been...and as you rightly point out, that's a god awful situation.
