I'm not a fan of Graham Cornes but all I saw (in this thread) was an allegation that he had said something without any link in sight - supply a link and we can all comment freely but at this stage it's got no weight to it.

It's probably because Graham Cornes isn't and hasn't been a representative of the Port Adelaide Football Club, much like Lucy Cornes. They are family members of former and current players. That's why Port Adelaide supporters shouldn't have to justify their actions or comments.

As sincere as his last apology.

Don't get me wrong, it was a dog act and a crude comment. But the Port boys would get more respect sorting him out next time they play. He may not do it again if he knows one of the bigger blokes will go in a lil harder next time he is near the ball.

Pearce would cop more in online gaming via his headset from a 12 year old in Wichita than that.
 
I don’t care about the Pearce issue, but he crossed the line with Cornes’ kid. It is an unwritten rule, with anybody, rappers, gangsters, bikies, whoever…leave kids out of it. Minson said a comment about Cornes’ kid, which would have cut Lucy quite deep. So when this flog said something to Pearce, it opened up an old wound of Lucy’s. Do any of you tough guys who do not condone what she did get that? You tough guys are too tough to even see that. Do any of you have kids? Further, do any of you have kids with health problems? If your answer is no and no, then shut the **** up because you have no right to comment as far as Lucy’s actions are concerned because you have no idea of what she would have gone through. You think that what happens on a football field should stay on a football field? I do, but as soon as you bring a kid into it, you are fair game to anything that happens to you later on. And saying something to Pearce is something that happened later on. Okay he apologised for bringing Cornes’ kid into it, big ****. He had to because he got caught. Apologising doesn’t make it right though. But then he goes and reoffends. It’s not what he said to Pearce that opened up Lucy’s wound, it’s the fact he said anything at all.
 
Minson never attacked there child. He simply told Cornes that he should be home with him. Thats not exactly having a go a the child. People also forget that at the same moment Cornes attacked Minsons dead father and yet Cornes has never appoligised or even been fined suspended for his comments. How was his actions acceptable. Good to see Lucy supports those comments made by her husband. Happy to dish it out but not recieve it.

And pearce grow some balls man. Seriously crying foul over those comments. Good i hope Minson hits him nice and hard next time. If he cries over a few words he wouldn't move from a bump.

I played until I was 35 and heard that particular sledge many times - if anything Big Will should be fined for lacking originality. I cannot believe how quickly the outrage machine has gone over the top on this it is pathetic. Its almost as bad as the "sinister" goings on in Chickengate

What did he say about the Kid? That the father should be at home looking after him. And its ok for Cornes to say something about Will's dead father. You have no idea.

Pearce is a rat that dobbed in someone that insulted him.

This is primary school stuff.

It's an outrage that people are outraged.

Weak by my club to suspend Will over this absolute NON ISSUE.

What else can he do, fight it when he has no chance of getting off due to the outrage that PC sooks like you habe had over such a nothing event.
Can't believe anybody could take it as evidence that he did a bad thing
 
So in 5 years time can we expect Pearce to come out and say "If you want to apologise, donate to this foundation"?
 
Minson will now be under even more scrutiny, so should be very careful when he opens his mouth on the field. I expect opposition to exploit that and bait him. I also expect whoever is playing Port next week will be in Pearce's ear, he has shown sledging can bring him undone..

Exactly he didn't even sledge the kid he sledged Kane's parenting. Why did Kane never have to apologize for bagging Will's dead father? Probably because the Dogs didn't complain
