So Minson should receive a harsher penalty because he mentioned rape, yet we have women bashers and Milne and Montangna still playing.

The hypocristy in that statement is alarming.

Because nowadays its all about feelings and shit, kids top themselves of go on shooting rampages, drug addicts weep in the dock. it's all touchy feely crap my old man used get called a black campaigner and I was called the qtr cast bastard child of a of a half coon, when I played a bit in U16's

You know how we replied? We played the ****ing game. Christ people really think that's the first time someone as used rape as a sledge? I for one threatened to skull **** a blokes sister after he sledged me about stealing his thongs, his reply "make sure you use a rubber you'd be the fifth bloke to do that this season"

That's all it is, it's a sledge he idea is to piss the bloke off get him angry so makes a mistake.

It as an untrue sledge that was aimed at putting Pearce of his game, and it worked and now Pearce has come off looking like a sook when he should had ignored it.
Pretty much this...sledges like the one Minson made against Cornes or the one against Rama are worse because they touch on real life issues that could have been tragedies. Saying you r*ped someone's mum when you live in different states is just patently absurd and to get upset about shows a weakness in Pearce's mental toughness. You know it's not true, so what are you upset about?

'Hypocristy' indeed.

It seems (given he also commented on the upcoming Showdown) that Pearce was one of the players put up for interview by Port ahead of the Showdown.
Obviously he would then be asked about the incident and all Pearce did was respond to the questions asked and make the point that "..there was more to Minson's comments than widely reported."
I'm sure if Minson had been a Bulldogs interviewee for this week's game that he too would have been questioned about the matter.

Minson said in the days following that he had called Pearce multiple times to try and apologise, but he ignored his calls. Not his fault Pearce ignored him.

God Pearce is such a massive sook, he's only going to get sledged worse from now on mentally weak individual.

When do Port Adelaide play Geelong next? When you're not racking up 30 touches make sure you get right in his face and tell him.

It's sad that AFL football has degenerated into kindergarten playtime where little girls like Danielle Pearce can sook to the teacher and players can be suspended for sledging. Normal people just laugh when an opponent says "I ****ed your mother". What does it say about Danielle Pearce's mother that he would get so upset and want to take it further? Why didn't he just say "No comment" when the AFL quizzed him about it?

Not that Pearce had any respect from his peers anyway - everyone just thinks of him as Port's silky-skilled ladyboy - but this incident will forever follow him. In 10 years time, people will remember Pearce as the guy who dobbed Minson in for saying "I ****ed your mother". What a pussy!

I can't believe a proud club like Port Adelaide would tolerate this crap from one of their players. It's just further proof they have no link to the mighty PAFC who played in the SANFL. It is one of the sissiest things I have ever seen in all my years of following sport. I can't believe the AFL have gone down this path. Where will it end?

Unless it was personal who gives a ****! Minson shouldn't have even got suspended if all he did was say something like I ****ed your mum. Only when it's personal e.g. Minson on Cornes is there a problem. Pearce should've laughed it off like almost every other adult who knew it wasn't serious.

It appears Port Adelaide supporters are the only rational posters who have read the article and mention that Pearce has accepted the situation, won't be repeating the slur and is intent on letting the saga die out. Any other interpretation of Pearce's words suggests a vendetta against Danyle Pearce (because this is exactly what he says several times).

I'm sure that Minson did indeed say something more serious than what was reported, but for Pearce to hint at it without saying what it was will only inflame the issue. It's fine to say he was asked about the issue, but he could have deflected without whipping up additional interest. He is now the reason this is an issue again after it looked like it had been put to bed.
