Why can't game designers and programmers start with this simple question ...wrote it on big bloody whiteboard

"Can we design a game that's action packed without guns"

Start with that question and go from there ....now I'm not anti guns in gaming ....but it's too easy just to have them as the premise of the game

Game director Erik Odeldahl announced that the game has been pushed another two weeks, to June 7 in North America and June 9 in Europe. He says the extra time will be used to address player feedback from the closed beta, particularly in regards to the Social Play online features.

Never understood the love for Mirror's Edge. The story and characters were lame, and first person platforming sucks donkey's balls. Very pretty game but that's about it.

Appreciate they were trying to do something different with a new IP, but sometimes you should know when to put a line through a failed concept.

Because different people like different things. I don't think anyone has ever claimed Mirror's Edge was perfect. But it was still a fresh experience within the first person genre which still played well. I actually think Faith is a pretty cool character, but the first game did the character model no justice with the animated cutscenes.

When you were on a roll in that game it was a great experience. Which is why I'm excited about a sequel, it gives Dice a chance to deliver on the promise of the first game.

This wasn't a failed concept at all.

Didn't play the first so don't really have any interest in this, however I'm desperate for new games to play, seems very thin lately.

I only was able to play about 10 minutes but very fluid visuals and game-play. Not sure about the longevity though, but spose it would be no different to the previous version.

Bad example, but same sort of feeling when SMB made the transition to 3D in SM64.

Getting some average reviews.

I'll still be grabbing it, but it's a bit disappointing to see people not liking it (and that's even coming from people who enjoyed the first).

I'll get it when it's 25 bucks on PSN in about 8 months or a hock shop somewhere

We have to give some credit for trying to do something different I suppose ...maybe just a straight parkour (spell) game with points awarded for stunts and so on would be great.

The reviews I've read are that the story is weak but gameplay is good ....it might be a simple case of if you're a fan of this type of game you'll love it ...bad timing though with uncharted still selling through rooftops (lol bad joke)

It's gotten a few outstanding reviews from people who really gelled with it as well.

I played enough of the beta to know what I'm getting and that I'll enjoy it. It seems to have added in a few new flaws whilst fixing some old ones.

I think the most disappointing thing I've seen so far from impressions is that the open world element isn't utilised well enough. Which seems like the thing that was really going to break the game apart from the first one and propel it into it's own stratosphere of awesome.

Feels like potential lost.

Played the beta and was thinking "Not bad not one I'm in a hurry to get" and now seeing that's its getting average reviews has put me off getting it.
